Peony that could be me too but there wouldn't be any chocs going back as I am ashamed to say I would have finished the box off. Hope you feel better soon. An OK but not great day today. I had two(!!!) grande lattes with the little biscotti biscuits in the saucer which I had to eat of course. I hope the milk was semi skimmed but I didn't check. Why? Who knows.
    B muesli and Greek yogurt
    L prawn mayo sannie
D breaded chicken and green veg
S two grande lattes, two mini biscottis, pineapple.
    Hope you are doing OK.

Going to have to cut down on shopping again, dh new job starts a weekearlier but paid in arrears so I'll lose my jsa but not have his part month wages for a further 3 wks. Desperate to stay off credit card spending! Unfortunately, being such a fussy eater makes it harder, also dieting doesn't help either. So far I have:
Bulk out spag bol with mushroom and onion, or replace mince with cooking bacon as cheaper
    No more breakfast biscuits!
    Any more ideas?

Hi I stick lentils in everything but esp in things requiring minced beef so spag bol, cottage pie etc and also put in curries. If a receipe calls for 400g mince id use 250g mince n make the rest up with lentils- they are cheap filling & heathly! Plus you cant taste them in these receipes so should get them past even fussy eaters ;)

Ive done day 3 of 30 day shred :j (not jumping now tho am shattered :rotfl:) no shredding tomorrow as i go to college on a Wed night so work 9-5 then drive 40mins to do college 6-9 then drive 30 mins home so 30 day shred got noooooo chance lol

    Be good all :)

A pretty good day today, mainly because I didn't have time for lunch, as I wanted to take some flowers up the cemetery for my mum before it started raining again. I then went to visit my dad (resisted the urge to have one of his mince pies), then went into town to go to the bank and had a wander round the shops, before finally getting home at about 4.30.

B malted wheats with semi skimmed milk
L nothing until I got home from the shops, when I had a bag of cheese and onion crisps and 2 caramel rice cakes with a cup of coffee
D jacket potato with sunflower spread and beans
S 2 satsumas, weetabix chocolate oaty bar
Drinks 3 cups of coffee, latte with semi skimmed milk, 3 glasses of water, cup of tea

    Thanks for the kind words.

Feeling a bit better now, no use in berating myself. Whole new day tomorrow.

Well done to those who have had a good day eating wise, and a hug for those of you like me who have had a more trying day.

  • peony hope whatever the news is works out!

A bit of a toss up on whether this was a successful day or not - it was really hectic, so I didn't get a chance to eat my lunch until 4pm (torture given the type of site I was working on today), came home all cold, damp and tired and starting to suffer from a bit of cramp. Needed to take an ibuprofen, which I know shouldn't be taken on an empty stomach, so I had a big handful of malteasers to non-empty my stomach, as I didn't have time to wait for dinner to cook. My housemate then offered a couple of small cookies for after dinner, which I accepted due to my cold miserable state :/

On the plus side, I did get a reasonable amount of exercise today.

Have managed to stick to fairly healthy eating for the last 4 days. Most days have been having -

    B - Plain Omlette
L - Mackeral and Cottage Cheese salad.

I have kept to my usual evening meals - chicken curry, shepherds pie, etc, but have tried to cut down on the rice and potatoes.

Snacks - fresh fruit and greek yoghurt. Have also tried apples and peanut butter, which has helped me to say no to all the biscuits and chocolates still hanging around in work.

This week I have lost - 3lb, which I am really pleased with.
