Hi all
First Monday/full week back at work boo hoo!!
I fill in MFP and although it recommends me 1200 cals per day I think this is far too low/unrealistic so last yr when i lost about a stone i worked on 1600 cals per day and ate my exercise cals. I think eating too few cals could be bad for you/make your body think you are starving
Today:
B: Porridge made with 1/2 water 1/2 ss milk
S: Banana
L: LO pork with nandos sauce, salad, 1 slice seeded bread no butter
S: apple, 2 x satsumas, grapes
T: pork, small amount boiled potatos (bit of butter) lots of boiled mixed veg, gravy
S: Muller greek yog
Will do my 30 day shred after workmy arms/legs already hurt from yesterday- soooo unfit

Ah Ellie99. I guess we have all been there and done the equivalent thing. Certainly know I have. I swear that treats in the house just talk to me. It is a great tip to package up the remainder of the chocs to look really pretty and home made. Lakeland sell presentations bags - you could consider doing a mini hamper of goodies and adding some biscuits if you want the gift to look a bit special. Don't beat yourself up - today is another day as they say! Onwards and downwards.0

Worst time of day for me is late afternoon, I'm at my most tempted now. So, what's your worst time and how do you overcome it?Married 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

Now is a hard time for me too. Mornings are normally OK. I have no tips
I think mornings are OK because I try to have a fairly late breakfast (two boiled eggs) and this doesn't seem to get my appetite going too much. But once I've had my cooked lunch I start fancying all sorts.
The shortbread are crying out to me now. I shall be so glad when they're gone.0 -

For me it is this time of day as well 5pm ish. Hubby doesn't arrive home until 7.15 for dinnerLoved our trip to the West Coast USA. Death Valley is the place to go!0 -
Between 5-8 pm is a really bad time for me. I can cope fine throughout the day and never snack between meals but as soon as its time to start cooking I want to devour anything. I know I probably eat too fast as well as I want my meal over with. I had thought of trying to eat with chopsticks and another tip I should try is to eat in the nude looking into a mirror. Perhaps not thinking about it . I ordered a portion plate today as I have such a problem coping with portion distortion. I know its a lot of money but if it begins to change my way of eating, it will be worth it in the long run0

Missed breakfast again this morning, I must get up when the alarm clock 'goes off on one' as DGD says, and not keep putting it on repeat
D - pudding bowl of chicken/veg curry
T - 2 heels of bread spread with yogurt, vegemite, rf cheese & pickle, apricot jam
S - satsuma, banana, carrot batons, handful mixed nuts.
ellie I think exercising is like everything else, there are new ideas almost yearly. I took 13 first aid refresher courses in my career and every one had something different from the last one.
I was taught never to roll my head right round, now apparently it's okay to do so though I've not tried it as my neck creaks like an old staircase at the best of times!
This is really why I suggested getting professional advice before doing any exercises0 -

In the nude? In the winter??? brrr, I don't think so
Why do you want your meal over with? Have you thought of sitting at a table, and making it more of an occasion? It's seems a shame when we're restricting what we eat for you not to get as much enjoyment as possible from your meal
I eat quite slowly, which helps stretch the meal out. I made a meal for a friend recently, and he gobbled it down so quickly that I had to eat three quarters of mine after he'd finished...it felt a bit awkward having him watch me eat because he'd already finished, and like I hadn't given him enough (I had!) I guess everyone's different.
Thanks for the suggestions for getting rid of the chocolates. I'd bought them as a little extra present, I already have the main gift.
I ate some of them today
However, I worked over lunch time, so didn't have anything to eat when I got home, to try and mitigate the damage...not healthy, but better than nothing.
Had stew, which was 90% gravy and veg, for tea, so had about 1400 calories today. Thinking of going for a walk, but it still sounds wild out there, can't decide.
ETA - I decided - I'm going nowhere in that wind lol
If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?0
