Im all organised for my first real day tomorrow, as Im back at work. Im hoping getting back into the routine will do me good - at least it will get me away from the bowl of sweets which still haven't been eaten from Christmas! Hopefully DS's friends will come around tomorrow and do me a favour and eat the lot!
Im logging everything on MFP and trying to stay within 1200 cals. Does anyone else do this??
Hope you all have a good day xSealed Pot no 20110 -
Please can I join. Unfortunately I'm 1 stone heavier. I'm starting the 28 day Good Food menu plan.0

OK so back to work on Monday - that should make eating at meal times easier (far away from the biccy tin)
I'll have to weigh in tomorrow as I know I was 76kg Before Christmas but don't have a start weight for now (after Christmas) If I have stayed the same; I will be most pleased. But not expecting miracles.
Back to the gym tomorrow too.0 -

I've been logging on MFP every day since I started losing weight last May, with a target of 1200 and eating back any calories 'earned' by exercising, and have so far lost 2 and a half stone, although I did put 9 pounds back on over Christmas, but I have since lost 4 pounds of that.
Well I've gone over again today, by over 600 calories ! What is it with weekends?! I must keep myself busy tomorrow, so I don't keep munching while I'm home alone.Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs

Good evening, not too bad today, here's my day:
B. 2 fried eggs, half tomato, a few mushrooms
L. Bowl leftover chickpea soup, goats cheese and Brie with raw veg sticks, small piece rye bread.
D. (Out, Chinese) fried tofu, Chinese broccoli, mix veg, green beans, 2 bits of fried veg tempura (my only carb indulgence of the meal, as they were in batter), small amount tofu in black bean sauce.
Good night xFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -

I know I'm a day late but is it ok to join you? I had vowed that last year would be the year I got fit and lost weight but it didnt happen. So then I said 2014 would be the year, and have eaten nothing but chocolate and biscuits since the new year! So now I need some support to get started and a challenge sounds like just they way to do it. I weighed in yesterday at 10st11 which is a bit more than I want to be at 5'4. So starting from tomorrow it's healthy eating, fruit and veg and exercise all the way.
my target fo the 12 weeks is 10lbs which I think should be achievable.
Thanks MM x
I've got you muddled_midget and your target takes us to just under 50 stone to lose!Must use my stash up!0 -

Yes I use MFP. I try to stick to 1200 cals and eat any allowance earned by exercise. I like that you can scan bar codes for calories, save recipes and the database of foods seems enormous.
My food today.
B muesli and Greek yogurt
L HM broccoli and Stilton soup- using up Xmas leftovers
D Gammon, HM pineapple salsa, green veg
S orange, piece of biscotti.
I have finally decided on my New Years resolution today. After Olympic medal winning dithering it is to be that I will not put weight on at any point during this year. I am sick of losing weight to regain part or all of it. Any weight I lose is STAYING off. Has anyone else had this objective. How did you make it work as I am not sure whether this should be a weekly or monthly weight check? :rotfl:0 -
AOT don't worry you're not alone here. Some of us can't do much due to various conditions, in my case it's copd so can't breathe for long
. Like you I do gentle stretches, I also use the bottom stair for 'step' exercises even if it's only 5 or 6 at a time, pulling myself up with the bannister and hand rail 'they' attached to my wall for me. I also use the wall to do a few standing push-ups, only they're called push-offs - which is what I wish all our illnesses would do . Controlled breathing exercises can help too, they keep my tum from being too big by exercising the muscles.
Would be interested to read what other adapted exercises people do as every little helps
What are the controlled breathing exercises please? I think I could do with giving them a go if you don't mind posting them.0 -
