Thank you Knit Witch, we've kept you busy this week getting the list up to date :T

Had a visit from DM...she brought me a pack of 4 puff pastry mince pies (my favourites), after me deliberately not buying any all through the holidays!
I wouldn't take them and made her take them home, which didn't go down too well. The thing is, we had EXACTLY the same conversation last January, when I'd just started the diet (you know, "I really don't want to eat them"..."oh go on, they were a bargain"...no, I'm trying to lose weight"..."you can eat one a day"...err, no, there are some things I can't manage that with, jaffa cake, anyone?!)

I think her love of a bargain overrides any wish to see me slimmer, she wouldn't have bought them if they were full price.
I thought I'd had a breakthrough when she told my aunt not to buy me chocolates for xmas, as I was dieting, but I think that was more to do with getting one up on her sister than encouraging me!

We then chatted about how we both know different people who have had a leg amputated recently due to circulation problems...I tried to tell her that was one of the reasons I was so keen to lose weight, I don't want to increase my risk of diabetes and further illness...I already have constant back pain. I don't think she saw the link.

I lost 2 stone last year, and she has not once encouraged me or said well done.

IRL I have one friend who's a walking buddy when we can manage to get together, so thank you all for being here and encouraging each other, it helps a lot :T

btw, despite me moaning, my DM is actually a lovely lady, she just has this thing about feeding me :)

If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?

    Evening

I put on 5lb over Christmas :( but I've got 3lb of that off now which puts me 2lb up on where I was at the end of the last challenge, but that's where I'm going to start from today. If I can lose the 4lb I'm aiming for I will still be pleased, and if I can do a little more then even better!
  • Weighed in this morning and it was a shocking 10st 12:eek:

Very shocked as this is the heaviest I have been in a long time, and really must do something about it. Going to start in earnest on Monday, easing into it over the weekend

    B shredded wheat
L toast (a thick crust) with jam
T pizza and pasta (was careful with portion)
    snacks are fruit only

    I weighed myself this morning..................ouch!

I've managed to put 4lbs on in a fortnight!!! Still lighter than I was this time last year but definitely not good!:o

The good news is that I have now ate every bit of chocolate and drank every bottle of wine that I had in the house! No temptation is left!:rotfl:

Hello all. Hope you have had a good day. Mine is OK but could be better.
    B muesli and Greek yogurt.
    L hot turkey sandwich
D pork loin chop topped with Apple sauce and a small amount of Stilton with braised red cabbage
S couple of satsumas AND a tiny portion of Xmas pud with brandy cream.
Exercise 30 mins on exercise bike.
I don't think this is going to get me to my 19lb target so am going to have a lighter lunch tomorrow.
    Good night.
