Another 1lb lost this week, even though we went out to the carvery last Sunday, where I had a bit of almost everything (including a huge Yorkshire pud and too much stuffing), and also had apple crumble and custard afterwards, despite already feeling bloated, I felt quite ill afterwards, lol! I also had another mince pie, and 3 quality street sweets at work, but I did resist having a mince pie yesterday.
I didn't quite manage the 12lbs, but I am now 10lbs lighter than at the beginning of this challenge, and I've lost exactly two and a half stones altogether since I started in May. The weight is coming off much slower than it has in previous weight loss attempts, but it's steady and I feel really confidant that this time it will stay off.
I'd like to thank you all for keeping me on track so far, and KW for charting our progress, I hope everyone has a very happy Christmas and let's hope we don't put on too much, lol!Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs

Thank you N2BT
, it's not much fun but I'm sure it will pass in time.
Thank you KWfor the list and for all you've done to keep us together
Today's dinner was an 'all-day breakfast' minus the baked beans _pale_ at the airport, and just had some F&F, prunes and rf Greek yogurt for a late tea.
Merry Christmas everybody, hope :santa2:, brings you all you wish forhttp://youtu.be/YxNemfdMnOU

sparrer, that's one of my favourites (up there with Wizzard)...I guess that shows my age, we knew how to dress with style in the 70s
Well here's proof that god has a sense of humour...after moaning that I couldn't lose a pound, and declaring my last weigh in a STS, 2lbs seem to have disappeared this morning...why couldn't they have disappeared yesterday? :rotfl:
At least now that gives me a bit of a cushion for next week.
I am happy enough that I've lost 2 stone this year, and am determined this time that it will not go back on.
Went over a little bit yesterday, had salad rolls for lunch, but then a friend I hadn't seen for a couple of years arrived in the afternoon, so I ended up making lasagne and low fat chips for tea.
Tell me what you think...he arrived mid afternoon, and I had to ask him to leave at 11pm...rude, or just friendly?
Knit Witch, are you wanting us to say what we want for the next challenge now?

Oh that must have been awkward Ellie, he sounds a bit thoughtless. My MIL used to go and put her nightie and dressing gown if anyone out stayed their welcomeI think you did well lasting until 11pm.

I don't think I'd have the nerve to do that!
A film had just started on TV, and he kept telling me it was one of his favourite films, and I should watch it...but I didn't want to and it was on until 1am...I think if I'd not said anything he might have sat there until the end :rotfl:

Oh Ellie, that made laugh, when I think of the 70's fashion all I think of is the waistbands that went up to your armpits, the trousers so wide they tripped you up if there was a bit of a breeze and the shoes…..oh the shoes……such a joy to see them back in fashion – but my immediate reaction was, been there done that aint doing it again.
Mmmmm re your friend – I’d say he was hoping for a bit more than watching the film, nudge, nudge,.

and the big pointed collars, and the really bright colours...I had a pair of jeans with bells on the legs, so you could hear me coming...they were crazy clothes, right enough :rotfl:
and no, it just ain't going to happen!

ellie, N2BT I was a teen in the, 60's, winklepicker shoes, very full gingham skirts with sugar starched net petticoats with gypsy blouses or skin-tight skirts with baggy cable sweaters, duster coats, dark eyes with the palest pint lipstick, hair back-combed to within an inch of its life and laquered into beehives or cut close to the head in assymetrical shapes a la Twiggy...then into the 70's with the wing collars, flares and platforms, BIG hair, ahhh, good times
Good for you telling him to leave, I hope you let him know he'd outstayed his welcome. If he comes back tell him you have to go out
Not up to much today, can't seem to get warm even though I have thermals on and had a hot dinner. Think I'm getting nervous about Friday although I tell myself it's a straightforward procedure and will be over in a short time. It will all be fine, of course.
I won't commit myself to a new target until I know what the Christmas damage is, although I don't plan to eat much if anything extra as I'm not really into rich food or chocolate. I just have to go easy on the cheeses DS brought me last weekend, take one piece out of the freezer at a time.
B - F&F, prunes, rf greek yogurt
D - pulled pork in a bun, chips coleslaw, only ate half as they didn't do a junior portion and the full one was far too much. Pud was a trio of puddings, a tiny raspberry and white chocolate basket, a wee square of mousse and a sliver of chocolate something or other - much too rich so only had a mouthful of each. It all just sounded nice on the menu, but now I know not to do the same again
T - satsuma
S - handful of mixed nuts
Been invited out on NY Eve but I'm on phone duty overnight so it's not possible but at least I can eat sensibly. Rib-eye steak DS bought me last week is on the menu
Have a good evening and sweet dreams later0
