Definitely weird! but I think I'll cope :)

Plans for today have changed...I've woken up with pain in my neck and ribs (recurring problem, usually in short bursts) and I'm too sore to do much. My oily hair from last night looks terrible, like I haven't washed it for weeks, but I don't have the flexibility in my back today to rewash it :( just feel yuck.

(DS has pointed out that I absorbed enough oil last night, that I will now be waterproof, should help when I go out in the rain :rotfl:)

Only 4 days to lose that last pound, only 4 days, 4 days...

  • Hi Folks,

After a brisk walk in the winter sunshine to the post office, the last of the Christmas cards are posted and just two more presents to get in town tomorrow and I’m done :j :j

Spending the afternoon making scented candles - Cranberry done, Vanilla just setting and Lemon still to do…….the house smells absolutely fabulous :D

I did get some Christmas Pudding scent in the pack but definitely not using that, just smells like treacle _pale_ yuk, yuk, yuk.

    Meals today =
B – 2 small scones scrapping of honey, satsuma
    L – soup & crackers
D – hm meatloaf, mashed swede & sprouts

I’m sure I read somewhere that it’s not so much that it has more calories but that your body uses more energy/calories breaking down raw food, therefore gaining less energy/calories from the food – IFSWIM.

Ellie – try rubbing some talcum powder through your hair it may help soak up the oils till you manage to get it washed ;).

I love toast too ellie, it won't stop me eating it because as N2BT says there's a technical reason - something like celery taking more calories to eat than it contains, maybe?

    Yesterday
B - Fresh pineapple again, cos it's supposed to be good for arthritis
D - WW wm with pate, cheese and tomato
    T - prawn salad sandwich
    S - satsuma, carrot, celery
    E - sleep day

    Today
B - spicy fruity porridge with greek yogurt
D - Dab fillet, dark cabbage, spinach, 1/2 jacket
    T - salad sandwich
S - melon, baton carrots, handful nuts
E - cleaning downstairs, plus kitchen & bathroom floors

Sun's out, laundry going on the line :)

Still eating properly...nibbled on a few after eights, but was still within calorie limits. Not weighed myself this week, so don't know how it's going.

Spent an hour doing emergency gardening...some fence panels are falling down after the last storms, and I have a lovely big jasmine on 2 of them, so I've had to cut it right back off the fence. Don't know what I looked like, doing it without moving my neck and shoulders :-)

Does anyone know if jasmine will regrow from thick woody stems? It looks so delicate, yet has survived really bad winters. It's right by my bench, so I'll miss it if it dies.

Not getting much sleep, the pain wakes me up every time I move...spent a lot of last night reading.

and the good news - the tree is up! might not seem much, but it's a big deal for me :-)

  • Good Morning healthy eating chums :):) come on now ,you know you want to get into that slinky outfit, so turn away from the bacon sarnie and eat something healthy.Even if its only for one meal a day.Little and less is the way to go :) .
God I sound a right PITA don't I ,but we have all achieved so much over the past 12 weeks.I am fired up and raring to go now :):):)

I have the diet clinic and nurse to see this morning so I am looking forward to telling her that my Consultant has approved the op. for April. My BMI is dropping gradually which is the best way for it to go and losing weight over a longer period means its more likely to stay off :):):) which is what we want isn't it.I have binned all of my 'big' clothes and have vowed never to go back to how I was again I feel so much better and my mobility has improved so much over the past three months. You can tell I'm happy with life at the moment can't you :):)
So onwards and upwards chums you know you can do it,if I can anyone can, this is the lady who could eat half a packet of ginger nuts with a cuppa and not even think about it .:)

I wouldn't now I have regulated myself into a different mind set and the thought of getting my op. and looking as I used to, was a great inspiration for me.So come on what's your goal, not weight-wise, but what do YOU want to achieve when you have lost weight Is it more mobility, better health, or just a great new outdfit that you have promised yourself.tell us what you want to do by the spring of next year
    Cheers JackieO xxx

    Morning all :)

My goal Jackie? The long, plain and simple black velvet dress which has been hanging in my wardrobe for eons. I won't say how long, or what size it is, but it's so beautifully cut that when I last wore it (a very long time ago)I got complements that made me feel a million $'s. I'm nearly there so am pleased I didn't get rid of it.

    B - Porridge, greek yogurt
D - minute steak, cavalo nero, baby spinach, 1/2 a jacket. Apple
Supper (out at teatime) - crackerbread with pate from a hamper son bought me for Christmas, fresh pineapple
S - satsuma, handful of mixed nuts
E - already done the ironing, will wrap up and go and rake leaves. A thankless task but it always looks good for a few minutes...

Have a sunny day whatever the weather :)

no ,no, no Jackie, not at all, this is just what we need right now, the more the better :)...I know I need constant reminders this month, it's so tempting to have a little extra, and if I'm not careful it'll happen too often!

Already been to SM this morning...there are lovely goodies everywhere! Bought shortbread, because I won't be tempted to eat that, but also more pastry for mince pies :o

Meals planned for today are reasonable and should be ok calorie-wise...I have my first attempt at a beef stew in the slow cooker, I was in a hurry so didn't have time to look for a recipe online, so am guessing it...hopefully it will be all right.

Looks like another wet and windy day out :(

I feel positively :A, as I have just eaten a bowl of prunes rather than a cheese sarnie for a late brekker!
    Must use my stash up!
