sts this week which is fine (although I'd love to lose another pound before Christmas). I felt as though I'd eaten far too much yesterday and was feeling really guilty but when I went through it in my mind I realised I hadn't done anything out of the ordinary so maybe I just like feeling guilty!

    Well done everyone :)

Yes Jackie I promise to try to be good. I have my lovely DS visiting and he's brought me all sorts of treat including cheeses, a rib eye steak(!!!) a variety of olives - all the things he knows I love but would never buy for myself. He and his partner have also given me a hamper with a wee Panetone, some shortbread and a variety of preserves among other things. I'm going to treat myself to one or two bits on Saturdays after Friday weigh-in, most of it will keep for some time and luckily I'm not the sort to pig out on the lot all at once, I would only make myself sick!

We had brunch today, I had 1/2 a grilled gammon, a Cumberland sausage and a small piece of minute steak, sautee'd onions and mushrooms and dry fried egg, followed by 1/2 a roll with rf spread and marmalade. Couldn't manage it all so the dog is in for a treat at dinner time :)
Dinner will be a take away curry, I'll opt for a tikka as it's quite dry, but will have a WW pitta from the freezer as I'm not keen on rice.

Don't think there will be any snacks today!

E - well, Christmas shopping with DS, then car washing, maybe manage a few minutes when he goes out to visit a friend this evening if I'm not too full.

    Have a good evening :)

Pleased to report another 1lb loss this week, but I'm quite shocked actually after all the carp I've eaten, lol!

On Tuesday I was really bad as I had a mince pie and a jam doughnut, but I did resist the croissant that I was also offered (even though it was going to be binned if I didn't have it and I hate waste, lol), and I did only have soup for my evening meal as OH was working late, so I was on my own.

I'm getting a bit scared of Christmas this year, lol, as I don't want to risk putting the weight back on, but I also want to have the usual treats. I haven't bought much food yet, because I don't know if DS is coming as he may be working, and obviously I won't need as much if it's just me, OH and my dad, but I don't think I'll be buying as much as usual anyway, and maybe I'll give any leftovers to DS or my dad after new year to take away the temptation.

Sue14, I'm also a little worried about how much I will derail over the holidays (although I'm only off for 2 days, so that may help).
Last year I ate sweets and xmas cake, and put on a few pounds and felt very bloated and fat...I don't want to do that again...I couldn't fasten my jeans, which are now very loose...and they need to stay loose!

So far I've had a few extra bits, but walking every day and averaging 1300 - 1400 calories a day...even so, I'm not losing anything.
JackieO...maybe you could give us a pep talk every day please.

Had a carp day today...it was the special anniversary of a bereavement and I thought I would have to spend the whole day alone. Tried to visit SIL but she was out. Luckily DS2 came to visit to "borrow" mums wrapping paper and sellotape, and he brought the puppy, so that was fun.
Had intended to put the tree up today, which is more than I've managed the last couple of years, but it didn't quite happen...maybe tomorrow.

So I make no excuses for sitting with my feet up, having a pizza and a glass of wine...sometimes you just need comfort food.
And now I'm going to take my slightly tipsy self off to wallow in the bath...

(anyone else having trouble with the smilies this week, I'm missing them :-) )

ETA - the bath was not the success it should have been...I'm using up a few bath bits, and decided to use a lush bar, instructions long gone...I thought it was a soap thing...it must have had oils in it, because my hair won't dry right, it's oily, and I'm very very slippy...lol

If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?
  • Way to go Zippy, JackieO and Sparrer, :T :T :T congrats on hitting/exceeding your targets – I will be giving it my best efforts this week in the hopes of getting to mine.

The good news – I went rummaging around in the back of the wardrobe and found a maxi length denim skirt that I haven’t worn for years and :j yay :j – I got into it quite comfortably. Did try the skinny jeans on……but oh no not yet, need to lose a couple of inches off the waist before I could be comfortable in them.

Right there with you Ellie, I have one this Wednesday and up until this evening I was doing okay. Decided to do some baking tonight and I always have the radio on in the kitchen – well….what came on but jim reeves version of silver bells and that was me away could barely see the scones I was making for the tears in my eyes – normally I am more of a 70’s disco, soul & rock chick, but if there is one Christmas album that takes me way back its jim reeves – sentimental old sod I am.

Shame about the lush oops.......but I bet you're hair will be shining for days

Ooh, Jim Reeves, he had a lovely voice...I know the words to lots of his songs, he was my Dads favourite, back in the 70s he used to play the LPs on a gramophone the size of a piano.
The one that used to get me was "I won't come in while he's there" (not the most catchy of titles lol)...I always felt so sorry for him!
I have a CD compilation somewhere, I think I'll look it out tomorrow before I put the decorations up.

Not too worried about Christmas as being on my own I don't buy in a lot of things just for one day. Will be going to DD's for dinner, she uses serving dishes so I can help myself to what I want, and won't be staying as I have to be elsewhere for 7pm to open up a hall for needy people. Expecting it to be a busy evening.

B - Fresh pineapple, 2 slices WW wm toast with yogurt and marmalade. Why does toast contain more calories than bread?!
D - pub lunch, child's portion of gammon, egg, chips, peas, and two churro's with a scoop of ice cream
T - sandwich of 2 slices WW wm spread with yogurt, rf cheese, tomato and baby spinach leaves.
    S - satsuma
E - stripped beds and remade. Bedding washed and dried but too to do the ironing now :p

    Sweet dreams :)
