Why not go half way and say 5.5lbs? :)

Except that I am so podgy that my scales don't show half pounds :o

  • New year, new start! The hubby and I managed to save money AND lose weight last January so I know we can do it... It's the sticking to if that we need to master and l bet you lot can help keep us on the straight and narrow!

I don't have scales and have no idea how much I weigh at the moment, so I'll be aiming for a loss of 1 dress size if that's ok?

Not a problem, obviously this means you can't join the challenge - but please keep checking in with us!

Perhaps measurements might work instead of lbs?

You could post how many lost and how tight/loose clothes are ?
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
  • I'm not exactly sure how much I weigh down to the lb just now, but there's no harm in setting a target! I'm aiming to lose 10lbs in the next challenge. And to remember to take my glasses to the bathroom in the morning so I can see the numbers on the scales!

ha ha, I have to do this too...I look much better in the mornings without my glasses on :rotfl:

Knit Witch, see you went with the 7lbs, positive thinking :T

I'm pleased to say I didn't get given any chocolate at all (we don't do many presents, and I think DSs know now not to get me any, after listening to me all year!)...but...DS1 got a couple of tins of roses and I've been nibbling on them in the evenings...well, he will leave them on the table right in front of my nose :)
I manage to ignore them all day, and then get tempted in the evenings.

I feel much healthier than last christmas, and it helps that I'm now well enough to go for walks. Although I'm 2 stone less, I'm still wearing the same jeans as last year...except instead of being so tight I could hardly fasten them, they're now really loose, won't be able to wear them much longer.
The old jeans I looked out in the summer, which wouldn't even pull up over my hips, now fit...another 3 or 4 lbs off and they'll be perfect...that'll be a big ego boost :)

If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?
