A 2lb loss for me this week! I've been pretty good most of the week, although I went over my calorie goal on Thursday, and I had a chocolate covered biscuit at work on Tuesday, (it was delicious though and I savoured every nibble, lol!), but I managed to stay under my goal on all other days, so am still under for the week so far.
Last Saturday I actually went out shopping in my size 14 skinny jeans, and OH said I looked really good in them! I may wear them again tonight when we go to MIL's to play cards.Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs

Reading quickly and initially read this as you taking your boobs off! I thought what a clever trick - mine probably weigh a good stone haha! :rotfl:
I wish, my dear ex OH said the only time I went from fried eggs to poached eggs was when I was pregnant, and the last time that happened was 32 years ago!
L - slice hm wm with Brie. It was rtc in Mr M for 30p, couldn't resist
D - cottage pie
S - slice Stolen. satsuma, melon
E - bit of housework, bit of hand washing, bit of ironing, bit of leaf clearing, quite a bit of siesta this afternoon

I wasn't sure whether I had lost 0.5lbs or 1lbs last week, so I've either lost another 0.5lbs of I've STS this week. Either way I'm currently at
2/9lbs
I missed the main weigh in again this week, but I don't mind if I miss it, as long as I keep going!0 -
Hi Folks, I’ve been MIA……again, and missed a couple of WI’s unfortunately I have STS – even after all my additional exercise
Despite the aching elbows I carried on with my re-decorating project and stripped the walls in the lounge and papered 3 of them - I have to say being somewhat of a novice at this I am really pleased with the results – just got the feature wall to do now but I’m going to wait and get someone more experienced to give me a hand with that - just because it’s a patterned paper and a bit more expensive.
Glad to see that most of you are doing well and continuing to keep the total loss going up, now that most of my major household DIY has been done I can concentrate on me for a change and hopefully hit my target before the “C” word – I must be missing that all important ‘multi-tasking’ female gene – it got to the point where I was so hungry it had to be the easiest and quickest to cook that was the priority = Carbs, so no wonder I STS
Anyway as a treat after all my hard work, tonight I’m having a hm turkey korma, side salad and ½ a sainsbobs peshwari naan (233kcals  ) – do you think the low fat yoghurt instead of cream in the curry will balance out with the Naan?? Who knows and frankly I’m so tired I don’t care :rotfl:

Thanks officeguru, I had a look. Guess the cats would be very interested...I couldn't have done that when we had our cat, chicken was his very favourite thing :rotfl:Last Saturday I actually went out shopping in my size 14 skinny jeans, and OH said I looked really good in them! Sue, I think that may be the first time this year the words "skinny jeans" have appeared on this thread
Well done :T
I've really struggled to stop myself buying my favourite chocolate this weekend, it's been a constant nag in my head.
On Friday I was in too much of a rush to have lunch, and I was trying to think what I could eat in the car...and my first thought was a big bar of chocolate...old habits die hard
I thought about it for miles, right to the last set of traffic lights...
thinking will I take the left filter to the shops, or carry on home?...well, I went home, and made myself sit down for 15 minutes and have tea and toast. I knew if I didn't I'd be too hungry later and eat rubbish. I've got to get rid of those bad habits!
I've had to stop myself buying it several more times over the weekend...I'm fine ignoring ordinary chocolate, it's that bl...y popping candy stuff I crave  I rue the day I first tried it (another helpful dieting gift from my mother)
It's a pity mental effort doesn't use up calories :rotfl:
So no chocolate, and I've eaten properly all weekend...just had a choc biscuit though, the first in months...it was gone in seconds, there's really no point to biscuits, is there?

Trying to inspire myself for some healthy lunches and found this site if anyone is interested:
http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/collection/healthy-lunch
We're not meant to eat hot food at our desks at my work, so I don't like to take soup in very often (no one tells me off, but it's to be considerate of others) so I've fallen into a rut of ham sandwiches or wraps. I want to try and cut back on my carb portions, but that is difficult with bread - it comes in one size.
I've been inspired by a blog I read to start weighing my portions - I keep veg unlimited, and have a rough idea of how much is a portion of rice/pasta, but think it will be good to double check.
Mind you, I need to make sure I go to the right sources for weights - I read the side of the pack, which said a pasta portion was 180g (dry). I weighed that out, and it was at least two portions, so I think it was a typo and should have been 80g (W8rose says a portion is 75g)0 -
B - F&F with 1/2 chopped banana, Greek yogurt
D - child's portion of gammon, egg chips and peas. 2 churros with a scoop of vanilla ice cream
T - fresh fruit salad with melon, apple, pear, satsuma
S - chocolate digestive
E - none today, no excuses just idleitis

Hi Folks,
Well so much for me getting organised and planning out my weekly menu. Didn’t get off to a good start this morning, had an early start for an appointment so didn’t have time for a proper breakfast and after spending time scrapping ice off the car, habit, remembered I have a heated windscreen… – so the time I spent doing that I could have had brekkie. Also in my rush forgot to take stuff out of the freezer for the rest of the day, so I’m winging it again and using up what’s lurking in the fridge/easy to defrost.
B - banana
L - lentil & ham soup, hm cheese scone
D - TBALast Saturday I actually went out shopping in my size 14 skinny jeans, and OH said I looked really good in them! I may wear them again tonight when we go to MIL's to play cards.
I’m pea-green with envy my skinny jeans are still hanging in the wardrobeminicooper272 wrote: »Trying to inspire myself for some healthy lunches and found this site if anyone is interested:

I worked in an open plan office and although they didn't mind us eating at our desks it had more to do with the smells that hot food produced that other people objected to. Rather than constantly having sandwiches I would take stuff that was leftover from the previous evening meal - quiche/frittata, mixed bean chilli - which was just like a bean salad when cold, chicken & potato/pasta salad.
I also use the goodfood website and can recommend the red lentil & sweet potato pate - its got a nice spicy kick to it.
I tried out the portion guidance for things like pasta and rice but found them to be HUGE  and resorted to my tried and tested - one and a bit handfuls - which I think weighs about 40g dry weigh - maybe it's just me but I see rice & pasta as an accompaniment not the main feature on my plate, unless of course it's maccy cheese or risotto.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61

I jinxed myself today, and forgot to take my sandwich, so had to buy some canteen soup - one person did complain about the smell! Oh well
When it comes to dinners, I mostly batch-cook for a few nights at a time, so don't really ever have leftovers. I don't mind cooking a separate dish for my lunches at the same time though, I enjoy cooking, it's just more economical to batch cook.
I will try the pate though - it sounds lovely.0 -
Still really really want a bar of chocolate!
It seems to be about every three months that I start to really crave some, I thought it would be getting easier after 10 months.
On the other hand...if I can lose 1 lb this week, I hit my next mini target, which would make me the weight I was at the start of 2012...the first of two targets which are important to me.
Going to spend the week telling myself that's more important than a bit of chocolate
