Sue, I think that may be the first time this year the words "skinny jeans" have appeared on this thread
Well done :T
I've really struggled to stop myself buying my favourite chocolate this weekend, it's been a constant nag in my head.
On Friday I was in too much of a rush to have lunch, and I was trying to think what I could eat in the car...and my first thought was a big bar of chocolate...old habits die hard
I thought about it for miles, right to the last set of traffic lights...
thinking will I take the left filter to the shops, or carry on home?...well, I went home, and made myself sit down for 15 minutes and have tea and toast. I knew if I didn't I'd be too hungry later and eat rubbish. I've got to get rid of those bad habits!
I've had to stop myself buying it several more times over the weekend...I'm fine ignoring ordinary chocolate, it's that bl...y popping candy stuff I crave  I rue the day I first tried it (another helpful dieting gift from my mother)
It's a pity mental effort doesn't use up calories :rotfl:
So no chocolate, and I've eaten properly all weekend...just had a choc biscuit though, the first in months...it was gone in seconds, there's really no point to biscuits, is there?
Well done on resisting the chocolate, keep it up! OH and I always used to buy a chocolate bar to eat on the way back to the car when we went shopping, but we no longer do that, although I must admit I was almost tempted to buy one on Saturday when I went shopping on my own, proud to say I resisted!Need2bthrifty wrote: »I’m pea-green with envy my skinny jeans are still hanging in the wardrobe
Well a few months ago I didn't think I'd ever be wearing mine, so it can be done, and I'm sure you'll get there eventually.Still really really want a bar of chocolate!
It seems to be about every three months that I start to really crave some, I thought it would be getting easier after 10 months.
On the other hand...if I can lose 1 lb this week, I hit my next mini target, which would make me the weight I was at the start of 2012...the first of two targets which are important to me.
Going to spend the week telling myself that's more important than a bit of chocolate
Your goal is far more important than chocolate, so just keep telling yourself that.
Yet again I've had a bad weekend, eating all the wrong things and hardly any exercise, but so far this week I'm doing ok. I've walked to my dad's and back twice (about half an hour each way), instead of taking the car, and have stayed under my calorie goal yesterday and today.Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs

Would a Freddo cut it? You can get those Christmas popping candy elves as well, if it's really popping candy chocolate you want. I find they are just enough to satisfy me, and think they are around 100 calories (haven't had one for a while).0 -
Morning all
Blooming cold today and had to be out early so when I got back I treated myself to a hot breakfast
B - spicy fruity porridge with greek yogurt, egg and tomato on toast
D - hm cottage pie padded out with masses of veg
Supper as will be out at tea time - curried parsnip soup, slice hm wm bread
S - melon, pear, handful mixed nuts
E - 1x10 mins done, more through the day. Must get off my butt and move more

Looked at freddos tonight in supermarket, no they wouldn't cut it, they're tiny :rotfl:
I've never seen popping candy elves, perhaps it might be better if I don't go looking!
Of course, my favourite stuff is half price again!
Have my fingers crossed for Friday...been eating okay, and been walking every day

Yay saw the diet nurse yesterday and she is very pleased .Since I last saw her three weeks ago I have lost 6lbs in total since then, and I too am delighted.I see my consultant for my op. in a fortnight and I know he will be impressed with my 'stickability ':):)
I have lost all of my cravings for bread and sweet things ,now and again I really fancy some cheese (my downfall as a rule) but I am determined this time to get rid of the weight.I have binned to the charity shop all of the clothes that no longer fit me so I can't put the weight back on and have bought a couple of pairs of trousers in a smaller size (in fact two smaller sizes) than I used to wear.Feeling very positive andhopeful that I can get through Christmas without too much effort
Keep going chums we can all do it if we can.I drink so much water its a wonder I haven't turned into a fish:)

Well done JackieO :T...impressed you're getting rid of the bigger clothes!
Wish me luck...I need to plunge the depths of my wardrobe today :rotfl:
I very rarely open my wardrobe in the winter (in fact, I've got xmas presents piled up in front of it!), I just wear jeans and jumpers in rotation...and I have no idea what fits me any more. The last time I sorted it out, I was over a stone heavier.
I'm going to a family "do" at the weekend, and have no idea what to wear...I really don't think jeans and holey boots will cut it :rotfl:
I need smart...and heels
One of my aims is to have a wardrobe where everything fits and looks good...no more having to try on 10 things before I find something acceptable
