    I saw the diet nurse on Wednesday and have lost another 1.5 lb so I am a happy bunny :):) .I shall lose a bit more this week as I have had a nasty tooth extraction yesterday and have a mouthful of stitches so I am eating yoghurt for the moment as I can't eat anything where I have to chew.so its a soup and yoghurt diet for me for a couple of days at least

    I don't post much but I'm still here, reading most days.
    Sorry to hear about your tooth JackieO, sounds horrible.
    Am pleased to say that I am back on track and 2 1/2lb down on last week, takes me to 1/2 a pound below starting weight. Not great but going the right direction and, more importantly, feeling positive :j

    Still can't get my act together with the exercise, I am just so tired.
    I was going to make excuses about being a single parent with a very stressful job but that's ridiculous, other people do it. They are excuses (for me)

    Anyway, my no alcohol, limited carp diet continues

  • Ouch - your tooth extraction sounds really painful jackieO hope you lose at least a couple of lbs to make it worth it!

    I weighed myself yesterday and will declare a 1lbs/9lbs loss this week. It,s not bad for my first week, as it did include a boozy trip to London (planned ages ago).

    My aunt has been going 2 carb free days a week, and was telling me of all the benefits. Does anyone know a good book that lists carbs in food? I cook a lot from scratch, and I know potatoes, pasta, rice, carrots and chickpeas are out, but don't know what else!

    Could also do with some suggestions for cold, healthy lunches? Recipes if you have them!
  • Hi all

    Well a slight blip to the start of the week where the dog was going crazy with fireworks and literally wouldn't let me doing anything, so I used it as an excuse to get Chinese.... I was really annoyed with myself but think I needed to get it out of my system.

    That did mean however that I really focused the rest of the week and although it is too dark now to be taking the dog on really long walks, I've done three workouts on 'Just Dance' this week (Mon 75 mins, Weds 30 mins, Thurs 45 mins) so I'm pleased with that.

    As a result I've lost 1lb this week :) which isn't bad because I started of heavier, so have actually lost 3lb (which annoys me because I look at how much I could have lost if I'd kept control, oh well!).

    Down the pub tonight to celebrate getting an interview for a new job, then tomorrow at home all day on my own and am going to clean out the spare room ready for OH to start revising for December exams to keep me busy and avoid eating the house of food! It's OH birthday tomorrow though and the inlaws are doing a 'winter bbq' tomorrow night so will just need to keep focused the rest of the week.

    Dare I post that I have lost 7lbs since the start of the challenge. I hope it will continue - fingers crossed.
