Good weekend - in that I was nowhere near a takeaway shop
(Did have 3 chocolate buns though)
The first slow cooker attempt was maybe 50% successful...
The soup recipe I found on t'internet was the usual potato and veg, but it also said to put margarine in, I wish I hadn't done that now, I don't think it was necessary. It also said it would take 4 hours on high, so should have been ready at 6pm...I ended up having left over beans on toast at 8pm :rotfl:
It was ready about 10pm, so I've had some for lunch, it's okay, but no better than a big pot on the hob...more experimentation needed, I think.
As it's Monday, I'm back to ignoring the cake, and trying to be good until the next weigh in.

Hi everyone, I'm sneaking back in at the back of the room here in shame. Had a diabolical few weeks, I daren't get on the scales to see what the damage is! Last week was a total write off, house was a tip and I couldn't face cooking/cleaning so bought a lot of sandwiches and takeaways. Not very os and definately not very healthy.
Back on track today, had my porridge for breakfast, a rice and chicken salad for lunch and I'll make a big pot of curry when I get home to do dinner for a few days. I can feel my target slipping away so need to do some damage control.0 -
Anyone going to watch Got Thin, Got fat again on TV tonight at 9 pm?
Heard them saying on morning tv that only 1 - 5% of people who lose weight manage to keep it off
I know I've yo-yoed in the past, not because of any medical issue, but because I wasn't willing to acknowledge just how careful I have to be with the calories to keep the weight off.
I'm really hoping this time it will be different...I'm already thinking about how I'll maintain it

Had liver and onions for dinner today, liver obviously doesn't agree with me at all as I spent most of the afternoon getting rid of it
. I have two trays of liver which will now be used for making dog biscuits, lucky lad!
B - wm roll with yogurt & marmalade
D - liver and onions, briefly!
T - desert spoon of porridge, scared to overload my tum with too much
S - none
E - none
Tomorrow will be a better day.

Oh that's not good Knit Witch
I think this is one of those times when you can stamp your feet, and shout (or whisper if your throat's sore) "it's not fair!"
Let's hope the 5 lbs are only temporary and you recover soon.

It's just water weight, it will come off as soon as it went on. When I was doing this challenge earlier in the year, I had a 1 week course of antibiotics and I put on 9lbs  It disappeared over the next two weeks.
I have been looking at fitness classes I can take up, and I can either do kick-boxing or fitsteps. Can't decide which I'd prefer. They're both on Monday, so I can't do both... Has anyone else tried either?0 -
Today I also saw an advert for trampolining, also on a Monday, I'm spoiled for choice. I wish I had a three sided coin sometimes.0
