Morning all. I skipped exercise yesterday but have my trainers in my bag and have resolved to do a bit of stair climbing at lunchtime and chuck in a 30 minute walk on the way home.
Wishing everyone a great day.0 -
Morning all, good news and bad...the good is that the tests have just shown that I have anaemia (ongoing most of my life), bad news is the recommended diet excludes tea . No chance! It does include oysters but I'm allergic to shellfish so not a fantastic result. Will be seeing the nutritionist when I get back from hols to go through the rf, ff etc foods make any difference. I do look for everything that's fat reduced and never eat refined sugar or sugar substitutes. On the other hand I do eat masses of fresh fruit and veg, fish, white meat, pulses etc., so will just have to increase them, and buy in some offal. Trying hard to avoid taking ferrous sulphate tabs, I have enough meds already!
B - F&F, ff greek style yogurt, 1/2 chopped banana
D - noodles with veg & tomato sauce, Stewed apple, yogurt
T - slice Stollen, cuppa
Supper - turkey sandwich on WW granary with smattering pickle
S - melon, satsuma, grapes
E - last 2 troughs filled with daffodils and heathers. Leaves raked but don't know why I bother, the mad mog loves playing in the pile, upstairs dusted, wiped, vac'ed, de-cobwebbed. Nuff for today

sparrer...NO TEA
I don't think I could diet without lots of tea, stops me eating in between meals.
I do best when I'm at home, with constant access to giant mugs of tea...I've got myself a part time job, which means I'm out the house with no tea access, and as it's outside work (IE no loos available) I can't even have a big mug before I go :rotfl:
Will have to see how I manage without it...have just got in (soaked - it's peeing down) and have had a chocolate mousse as a snack because I felt hungry...I don't want to make a habit of having snacks. Planning salad for tea, so don't feel guilty though

Exactly. 'They' recommend replacing it with up to 8 glasses of water a day - I'm only little, what do they want me to do, swim in it?!
Hope the job goes well and you don't get tea withdrawal symptoms0 -

Sparrer, is it that you're not allowed any caffeine at all? That will be really hard. I tried to come off caffeine a while back and actually ended up with really bad withdrawl symptoms! I was dizzy and sick and had a really sore head. I had to have a cup of coffee and a mars bar and after a wee lie down felt right as rain! Now I just do my best not to have too much caffeine. I aim for one cup of coffee and about two cups of tea a day maximum, and try to move onto green tea instead if I feel like any more after that. I don't think I could go cold turkey again!Save 12k in 2014 (my target: £10 000):

I wonder why "they" are insisting on no tea, are they just been overly strict do you think?
I haven't heard of that for anaemia before.

Morning all
Hope everyone is ok. I have been doing my best. Eating hasn't been amazing but I have been doing 30 mins on the treadmill each day. Finding dieting really difficult, as usual, particularly with the idea of Christmas approaching (I know it is only October, but I am Christmas mad!)
Suspect I will not have a loss to report tomorrow unfortunately0 -

Daisiegg I am exactly the same - there is something about the dark nights and that idea in the back of your head that Christmas brings the excuse to eat things you wouldn't normallyI love Chrimbo but am trying really really hard.... not sure it's going to last very long though as I tend to bake more for my OH around this time too :rotfl:

Not a bad weigh in this morning, a loss of 1.5lb
. I don't know how I'll do when I'm away, I love Maltese rabbit stew, timpana etc., and they certainly know how to make sweet pastries!
Using up odds and end day so
B - stewed apple with 1/2 banana
L - turkey sandwich with WW granary. More apple
D - Jacket with prawns and a grating of cheese
S - melon, satsuma
E - cleaned downstairs, spare bed made up for DGD who is moving in to look after the mog, just need to pack and will wash the floor before I go. Leaving here at 4.am. how uncivilised is that?!
Re caffeine, I probably have 6/7 cups of tea a day and perhaps one cup of coffee every three months or so. Spoke to the pharmacist when I picked up the ferrous sulphate and he said he'd never heard of it either. I'll just keep drinking my tea. Lots of foodie suggestions some of which I'll put into place when I get back next week, but in the meantime I'm just going to have a much needed rest and enjoy the break without worrying about anything. Bliss!
Take care, stay safe and I'll 'see' you next Fridayx
