Gave up trying to eat sensibly this weekend! But now I can have a good 2 week stint (no sons here next weekend) so I can eat healthy, small portions without affecting anyone else.
Today:
Porridge with hazelnut milk and fresh pineapple
HM soup with lentils, carrots and parsnips
Spaghetti, meatballs and focaccia.
HM apple and blackberry crumble
Actually, typed out it doesn't look too bad! No snacks, sweets or other bits.0 -
Right, here I go with a week of being really, really strict. I just want to see some weight-loss - I almost don't care how much - by the end of the week.
B - instant porridge, made with SS milk, with sliced banana
L - small tub of spiced beans with a wholemeal wrap; yoghurt; two fresh figs
D - Hairy Dieters'-style mince and onion pie (made with bread dough rather than pastry) with steamed broccoliBack after a very long break!0 -
Morning Folks,
What a dreich day. I had hoped to finish washing the ceiling and walls in the lounge but it’s so dark I won’t be able to see how well I’m cleaning and no doubt end up having to do it again  – I don’t like glaring light bulbs so my pithy 60watt bulbs not helping – fingers crossed it brightens up soon.
In the meantime I’m getting ahead planning my weeks menu and trying to be as inventive with the super six veg as I possibly can – whatever happened to that thread, Butterfly Brain & Co always used to come up with some great ideas, will go and check out what folks are having for dinner for some inspiration instead.
Yesterday meals ended up being
B – Yoghurt & stewed apples
L – Tomato Soup, crackers x 2
D – Tamarind chicken & mushroom kebab, very small portion rice & 1 slice garlic bread + 2 glasses of wine
Today will be
B – Boiled egg, oatcake
L – l/o chicken & mushroom kebab, pitta bread & some sort of sauce using ff yoghurt
D – Tuna, leek & sweetcorn flan, carrots & green beansJan - June Grocery spends = £531.61

Seems most news is good news this week, a huge well done for everyone for trying x x
I'm happy to say I've lost 3lb this week keeping an eye with MFP def seems to be working for me..
Some amazing advice from everyone but totally love the get up and do something every advert ! I shall be doing this til it becomes a.habit especially the evenings.
Can any of you lovely curvier bummed ladies give me an idea of sizes in general Tesco/asdas/ sains etc if I'm a Evans 26 at just above 20 stone, any idea very roughly how much to lose for a 22 in supermarkets x
I weigh 16 stone 5 and wear a 22/24 from simplybe ...not sure if that helps0 -
Hi everyone
Well done to the losers and stsers. I had a good first week and a bad second, lost 3lbs before my holiday and I've put on 6.5lb during! I started off with the best of intentions but too much bread, ice cream and alcohol caught up with me by the end. Back on the wagon today so hopefully I'll get it off before next weekend's weigh in and not drag everyone's numbers down. We were looking through the holiday pics and I was not happy with how I looked, there's now 14 weeks until my birthday party, I'm not having this situation happening with the piccies from then.
b. porridge made with almond milk and cinnamon
l. butternut squash curry from the place next door
d. some kind of sandwich meat or salad from tesco plus some raw nuts (I'm off out straight from work so will just have to grab something healthy)
s. apple, banana
Depending on how late I get home I've got some broth mix soaking so I'll make a big pot of veg broth for lunches for the rest of the week. BF seems to be getting on board, so hopefully I won't be having to fight off temptations from packets of biscuits and crisps every night.0
