    47) I got rid of 2 pillows from my bed to my mum for the dogs bed as I had lovely new cosy ones (bought in the sale obviously ;))

    48) Another few bits from the kitchen slung, odd lids and tubs etc.

    49) Can of mens shaving foam given away.

    50) Childrens bed set put to the charity shop bag.

    51) 3 childrens books binned as they were ripped and not good.

    52) a few course DVDs gotten rid of as I have an electronic copy and they're not needed anyway.

Not bad considering I was out all day yesterday and wasn't completely dedicated today ;) Everyone is doing so well!

  • I've never looked forward to putting the bin out quite so much. We have a grey bin emptied twice a month, blue bin for glass/tins/plastic bottles, green bin for paper and card. We tend to only put the grey bin out once a month as we try to recycle as much as possible, but obviously had more rubbish over christmas and so by this week it was completely full with another 2 bags that won't fit in. I've never been more happy to see that bin van this morning!
Am looking forward to the green bin being emptied next week so I can fill it again with old uni notes!

Got rid of a bag of clothes today as we got a charity bag through the door at the weekend (a genuine one, not a dodgy one).
Need to take the old PC apart tomorrow as that's getting donated to someone. Can't wait to get rid of that either!

Well today I have taken a large bag of stuff to the charity shop, posted 10 parcels which sold on eBay and also had a set of mugs collected which I sold.

Can only count the mugs and packaging from parcels as already counted the others so think I'm up to 49/100 now :)

Evening all. I can so relate to the joy of bin day! I thought my black box was today cans/glass/foil/fabric/paper but must have my weeks muddled (fortnightly) I have 3 cats on tinned food so it fills really quickly. This Friday is cardboard/plastic bin which is jammed packed.

    19. bag of tat collected from a walk around the house carrier in hand.-Rubbish bin
    20. Large cardboard box that was one of the christmas decoration storage
    21. Christmas garland that had got itself untanglebly tangled with wool (How?Why?) tangled wool gone too.
    22. flea collar on and old one in bin.
    23. another carrier of cardboard/plastic
    24. carrier of general rubbish including the hairiest/dustiest emptying of a hoover that I have seen in a long time.

A few more bits sorted (plates) but haven't left the house yet. Will be recycled in the Rubble bin at the tip at the weekend.

Evening All, just a few bits for me today

    15. Old tablecloth
    16. Bits of paper all over table with scribbles on by kids!
    17. 2 old magazines
    18. 2 broken toys

Considering I didn't really have any time today, it's good that I got rid of a few bits. Will try harder tomorrow tho!!

Have managed to tidy my room - decided to concentrate on one room at a time - and completely cleared out a corner, which doesn't sound much but housed 2 chairs piled with carp and a nest of tables, various books, miscellaneous clutter and a heater!!! Now looks much better with just one chair, no piles, but a nice cushion and have moved my nest of tables and removed the clutter - filled a good couple of bags and managed to chuck some old clothes that weren't fit for the charity shop, I would usually keep them as they 'might come in handy' for rags/painting jobs/mending/patchwork/etc/etc/etc...... Will post off some jewellery to Alzeimers Society - Thanks for that! Took out recycling which is an achievement in itself as getting down the backyard obstacle course is not easy. Rang the WEEE recylcling people to come and get my broken washing machine and TV but line was busy and I didn't manage to ring back so FAIL for me:( will ring tomorrow - promise. I've also managed to tidy more drawers 5/6 so only one more to go. Did this whilst sitting watching TV so no real hardship. Put more items on Freegle, some haven't been taken from before so have to decide what to do - I hate chucking usable stuff:( but think I'm gonna have to...

    Today I maged to declutter:

    19. 1 handbag – car boot
    20. 6 craft items - eBay sale
    21. Feliway diffuser – eBay sale
    22. Bag – eBay sale
    23. Cake stand – gifted
    24. Christmas wrapping paper – loft

I'm counting them as 3 different types of item rather than 8 items. Just want to make it a bit harder for myself! I have sort of cleared out the drawers under the bed, but still have a few bags that I need to be strong enough to get rid of at some point. Just not yet! I have 3 more listed on eBay for now and a couple put aside for a car boot. That's enough for now!

Tomorrow am going to tackle my bedside cabinet and decided once and for all how best to use the 3 small drawers. Ideas welcome.... :D
