Ditch 100 in January Challenge 44/100
Hello everyone!
Cannot believe how fast this thread has grown
Well i have finally declutted my wardrobe, all i want to say, i do not wish to go through that experience again. I know there are still items in there that shouldn't
I cannot believe the amount of carp i assumed i had thrown away over 10 years ago. This is the problem of having storage boxes kept to a corner of your bedroom for years and never acknowledging its existence
I have decluttered so far the wardrobe, chest of draws, storage boxes, computer table and writing table
Still have to declutter top of wardrobe, two shelves units and under bed draws
I am sooo happy i found this challenge as my original intention was to just get rid of CDs, books and jewelleryI've just tried to use zapper and it won't even recognize my barcodes.
I somehow got myself signed up to a bookclub a few years ago and have all of these books which are taking up valuable space and I want them gone. I'm never going to read them again but it would be nice to get some pennies for them. The trouble is, they don't appear to be very sellable.
Ah well, onwards I go
Why don't you have a look on Amazon Trade In, they are more likely to accept. The only down side, you will receive a gift card instead of hard cash
P.s thanks for the advise relating to the exercise mats, CS they shall go

That's either really funny or really maddenning. I don't live with him so it's quite amusing
ETA: Cross posted with Sylvia; thanks for the tip. I'll give them a try. Heck at least it would put some pennies towards something wouldn't it. Well, the things I was going to hang onto till a boot sale started, have been reassigned to the CS. BS round here don't start till around Easter and by then I may have talked myself into keeping stuff. Mostly storage boxes! Oh and loads of stationery. Another bag of shredding and I have organised my paperwork and it is now in a new folder that I've had for ages and not used before.0

[STRIKE]17[/STRIKE] 22 books in a carrier bag for charity shop tomorrow
None of them worth any money on any of the other sites
.
At least they'll be gone though. DH thinks I should just put them back in the cupboard  but I want to actually have some space to move in there at some stage. We're nowhere near that stage yet hence it taking so long.Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -
37 things to Zapper.co.uk (£40 woooo) All those are non-fic though - collection on monday
The rest of the books to Oxfam this afternoon (about 30)
Now - time for a G & T then paper work sorting! Bonfire tomorrow in the garden - no sensitive paperwork hanging around or time wasted shredding. I believe the operative word is wooooosh!
And on a personal note I've had an article accepted for my local Butterfly Conservation magazine
Well done everyone on here - doing a champion jobAll that is gold does not glitter
All those who wander are not lost
:starmod:Recycle ALL the things!:starmod:0 -
37. A whole pile of receipts shredded - good job i looked through them before getting rid as i found 45 euros! That could have just ended up in recycling.
38. two old lap top bags to CS
39 School prospectus recycled
Ooh what can I find to make 40??
40. Looked in a cupboard and found a plunger milk frother that can go to the CS - especially as I struggle to find room for things in that cupboard and the last time I tried to froth milk was probably 10 years ago! (and i have another one!)
