Well I've gone through my chest of drawers and instead of 3 full drawers I have 2.I've got a few cashmere jumpers in the wardrobe that I'll air tomorrow, then they go in the freed up drawer.

This week I have:-
14 - shredded a pile of paperwork and old bank books
15 - emptied the dregs of wax out of a pile of tealights into one that was almost empty, and then put metal holders into metal recycling
16 - 2 buckles off an old pair of dungarees (which I had in the 80's, lol!) - metal recycling, as I've realized I'm never going to use them
17 - ebay parcel posted
18 - jiffy bag from stash used for parcel
19 & 20 - Tin containing photos and paperwork belonging to my dad and a pair of his shoes - returned to him
21 - 1 pair of dad's curtains finally finished - taken round to his flat and put up
22 - 2 curtain tracks plus fittings - taken to dad's
23 - 30x curtain hooks & 30 gliders - taken to dad's
24 - 26 body spray, deodorant and body lotion - used up and recycled
27 & 28 - 2 low energy bulbs (from our stash of freebies) - 1 used in our lounge, as old one went last night, and the other taken to my dad's to replace the one in his bedroom
While sewing my dad's curtains I managed to bend 4 pins, as they got hit by the needle, and then the needle broke, so they have all gone in the bag for metal recycling too, luckily I have more needles and pins than I'll ever be able to use (ditto threads, as there were loads with the sewing machine I got off freecycle), so I won't need to replace them, lol! Going to visit DS tomorrow, and hoping to take at least one of his boxes with us.Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs

Well strictly not decluttering, I've come back from picking up an toy chest/bench for my daughters room and the seller also gave me wall mountable cd rack for free lol
So im waiting for my lo to go to bed now so I can finish sanding it and get it primed and ready for its final transformation going to do the edges in a deep blush pink and the panels in a light blush and then seal the whole thing with a coat of varnish and make a new seat pad to match her curtains and bedding and the cd holder in the same that will hold dvd's.
Tomorrow my hubby is here so the pair of us are going to attack my one of my outside shed and some of the dining room and do a few dump runs, He OWES me this after being hungover all today !!!
Got some more pics on my fb page and sold some more bits so thats some more stuff out the way for my move and gave some bits to my hubbies friend for his daughter.
Well hope everyone else has had a good day.0 -

Think the next wardrobes will have to be floor - ceiling so that nothing can get stored on top. Madness.
Am keeping to my resolutions - the existing wardrobes are almost entirely empty :j and today the 'designer' came to measure up for the new fitted ones. The picture (or representation from her measurements) looks really great and I can't wait for them to be installed. January is the expected time.
Now the remainder of stuff has to go too. And I need the existing wardrobes dismantled and removed, time to call the men in as the bed is going too.
It's been a slog and it's not over yet but I can see light at the end of the tunnel and it's no longer the fires of hell but a warm enveloping glow of satisfaction.
Good to read of everyone else's endeavours and to know that these type of battles can be won.0 -

I long to have an empty drawer in my chest of drawers. I have a sneaking feeling it's never going to happen though...
Feeling pretty good about my clutter today though - after yesterday's epic sort, I now have 99 items listed on ebay, with more to go on tomorrow evening. Fingers crossed the majority of it actually sells0 -

Good morning all :hello:
I had a busy day yesterday with dgk's so not really much in the way of decluttering - but I did make sure that no MORE carp accumulated. Everything went out into rubbish/recycling and I managed to vist the cs with 'stuff' that was intended to go there. AND, what is even more important, I didn't buy anything to bring back home with me :j! Had a lovely chat and cuppa with my co-workers while I was there.
Lovely lady-freecycler arrived for the high chair and couldn't believe her eyes when she saw it. If I'd had the time, I would have bought the extra bolts needed to re-attach the footrest and feeding tray and it could have been sold for about £20, but as it is I just wanted it out of the house before 'another bgr got pregnant again' :rotfl:. (Argos Item No. 732/4136)
Hairdresser arrived and gave me a 'tidy up trim' - that'll do me until January now. She already has a customer in the road that I'll be moving to - so she knows the area and says it's really nice and quiet around there. She's also been inside those particular flats and says they're great and a really good size inside - phew!
43. A piece of pork fillet removed from freezer last night and is now marinading in BBQ and honey sauce for tonights meal.
This morning's efforts so far:
44. 2 books from Amazon that have been lying around on my desk have now been put with the rest of the Christmas presents.
45. Letter tray has finally been moved from bedroom onto my desk and a mountain of paperwork sorted through - quite a bit of it is now dumped into rubbish/recycling.
46. Found a shoebox in kitchen that had the beginnings of a collection of 'pens / pencils / crayons / stationery items / office-type stuff' in it - this has now graduated to the shelf under my desk and hopefully will now keep all that kind of stuff neat/tidy.
As I'm sitting here, I've just glanced to my right and 'under the stairs' is staring at me very accusingly- so that is going to be my next job to tackle later today when I get back from the gym ................ I'm also promising myself that I'm NOT going to go to the shopping centre on my way back home. There isn't anything that we can possibly be in desperate need of - so I ain't giving in to temptation!
Hope you all have a lovely, uncluttered day. Enjoy it and I'll pop back in again later IF I've got any energy left after the gym.
