I've set myself a target of getting rid of 300 things over the next month. There's 30 days in November, so that equates to getting rid of 10 things every day. Sounds a lot but I'm sure the garage and shed, a good sort out of Christmas decorations and the bedrooms will come to this.

:T Declutter 300 things in the 30 days of November. Just 10 things a day.

There I've said it. I'm committed.

I quite agree, tissues are vital in your pocket and handbag just in case, and believe, me there have been many "just in case" times :rotfl: good cure though is to habitually wash your nice smart dark clothes when you have left one single tissue in the flipping pocket

Just to top off the end of my very carpy month .....washing mashine threw a hissy fit this morning and flooded the kitchen....we are open plan and the kitchen leads onto the carpeted sitting room....need I say more??

    So far this month:
Poor kitty sick on my bed
    Both had virus
    Had a cold
    Hubby poorly
Hubby broke wrist, as if he doesn't have enough to cope with
    Hubby torn knee ligament
    Kitty had upset tummy
Under sink plumbing leaked drenching cupboard and floor
    Kettle leaked all over counter
    Toaster broken
Flicked a daddy longlegs and tore my main light lampshade
Burnt through the flex on the new toaster
    Had another cold
Spilt a sack of cat litter over the carpet
Spilt a bottle of hubbys liquid meds on bathroom carpet
    Sinus infection
    Washing machine flood

I can't wait for Thursday to arrive!! :rotfl:
Your poor thing! only 29 hours to go...!

I need to write a list - everytime I choose my next decluttering project, I get loads more ideas and areas that i hadn't even considered that need decluttering lol!!!

I have decided my priority is the massive mosquito bite on my boob (yes my boob!) and the nasty wasp sting on my neck need to go they are driving me nuts!
  • I'm not going to manage any more this month as I'm working tomorrow.

65 out of 100-well it's still pretty good.:)

I'm not sure what target i'll set for November.Maybe I'll start off at 25 this time.:o

Well done everyone-you're doing so well!

Another trip to CS (different one this time):
    79 - 85. 7 framed pictures
    86. a pair of decorative cannisters
    87. an empty frame kit
    88. some fitness equipment
    89. a bag of Horrible books (ie Horrible history, geography, science etc)
    90. the Goosebumps books
    91. the older fake Xmas tree (8 feet tall)
    92. assorted oddments
    Nearly there = 10 months, 1000 items :T
I do this sometimes, take stuff to a different charity shop. Gets quite embarrassing when I'm in there every week and one of the assistants asks if there's anything left in my house! Well done on your total, that's brilliant.

You certainly are!!! I remember (was it last year?) when we did the '100 things in 10 days' challenge on here somewhere.... I'd like to join for November, but I'm not sure that I can find 10 things a day any more! (Got rid of most of it already). I'll have a go though....

    Last few bits for October:

    44. Sorted through pattern files and chucked loads of papers
    45. 3 cross stitch pattern books - given to mum
    46. 1 embroidery pattern book - given to mum
    47. 1 china ornament - charity shop (both OH and I thought the other liked it, that's why it hadn't gone before!)
    48. 2 books - charity shop
    49. 1 glass candle holder - charity shop
    50. 1 cracked glass - glass recycling
    51. 1 carbon filter from kitchen compost bin - bin
    52. 1 broken glasses case - bin

I've made it to half my total this month and there's still a day left!

Yes it was something you mentioned as a target and I think it's a brilliant concept. I need to super charge decluttering here. I've made real progress in certain areas but others need a blast of less stuff. You sound like you've done a hell of a lot. What about areas like understairs, the loft, garage/shed? :)

Try googling your model of phone - or looking on YouTube. Or maybe someone here has the same model of phone who could help.:A

Hey, thank you for the feedback. Maybe I can borrow a camera. I have so many things to sell and I need the money...and above all I need to get them out of my house! :rotfl:

Awww, aren't you all blimmin' lovely! :A

    Thank you for kindnesses.

When hubby was diagnosed, I thought I couldn't cope, but since then I have learned God never gives you more than you can deal with. At the time of each mini catastrophe, I tend to utter the odd expletive (some have been VERY odd:rotfl:), clear up and carry on. Nothing is so major anymore than I can't deal with it, laugh on it and move on. This cancer mularkey certainly makes you get your priorities right :T

Anyway, you are all brilliant and amazing  good on ya!

Well done for those who have reached their targets, I knew I wasn't going to get to mine this month but not worried as I have still got rid of things which, without you guys encouragement, would still be here. Concentrating on November now, oooh flippin' 'eck:eek:

Have a great Wednesday all, well done and thank you :)
