Didn't quite make my target of 100 items - I ran out of steam and time at the end.
63 bag of carrier bags - recycled
64 out of date credit card - destroyed
65 manky bottle of scentless oil for burner
66 box of old receipts etc shredded and recycled
67 - 72 plastic bottles - recycled
73 - 75 excess takeaway containers - recycled
76 very out of date yoghurt found lurking in fridge - bin
77 broken coat hanger
78 - 80 3 dvds returned to their owners.
Not only do I have a shredding machine, I now have a new vacuum cleaner complete with attachments!!! Just how much fun can a girl have?! I can already hear the junk squealing at the thought of how much is going to get evicted in November!!
Happy decluttering :-)0 -
silentsister and loopychriss hope you find the deeds to the house.0

Well done Fizzbitz - that 80 bits gone, gone, gone - forever
My November challenge starts today and it's already rewarded me with a couple of finds - 20p and a packet of picture wire. Trying to charity or recycle bits where I can.
:T Declutter 300 things in the 30 days of November. Just 10 things a day:
1. Bag (charity)
2. Old manual for some long gone equipment
3. Dead batteries
4. Bunch of papers
5.6. Magazines
7. Couple of boxes/parcels that should have gone ages ago to the post office
Right made a start. Be back later :ADeclutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Kicking off November back in the attic again, where the wild books live
43 books selected to go to CS or donate to school
12 audio cassettes binned (inserts and boxes recycled)
13 items of bric a brac for the CS
total = 68 :T
Through the year I've managed to reduce the attic bookcases from 4 to 3 and sorted out half of the back eaves. Unfortunately, there is still a long way to go. Good luck all in the push up to December.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Well I've not managed to find the tenant's agreement but she has agreed to bring her copy into the agents for them to copy - so hopefully that will go smoothly. Meanwhile I've been refiling my papers bringing all those connected with the property into one box, rather than filed in different places (eg tax returns). But although I was feeling very despairing last night, I could be absolutely sure there were no potential hideyholes that would yield more horrors.
Have you manged to find the deeds yet, loopychriss? If they don't turn up can't you trace them online? I think all property is registered automatically now, rather than relying on us mere mortals lodging them with banks, solicitors etc.
In the middle of all this, I've been working at emails and other stuff so I'll update the sig this evening.0 -

Great stuff with the bookcases luxor4t - you work really hard on dealing with all the books, then suddenly empty shelves, and don't you feel good! :j0 -
Afternoon.
Nothing yet today apart from decluttered the headache i had all yesterday and all night :j
Been thinking alot about a minimalist lifestyle and how we (our family) should spend time/money doing/experiencing things rather than buying material things we dont 'really' need. So im going to try and think of that every time i come to buy something.I also keep trying to think of how easy it will be to keep clean and tidy when ive 50% less stuff in the house
How much time ill have to devote to other things!!
So on that note, im going to try and tidy up my desk (again!)

Good morning all! isn't November starting beautifully? Bright, sunny day here.....so far, in comparison to last night when I thought the world may actually end  thunder, lightening, howling wind and the heaviest rain ever! it was like a tempest!
Nice new month now so am re-motivated and have just thought of something else which needs to be dealt with...a big wooden box full of oils...Fizzbitz reminded me I had one when she added her manky old oils to the bin! Thanks.
Hope everyone has a great day, onwards and upwards all:beer:Saving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

happytails, I think I'm a bit scared about a new life, unsurrounded by protective clutter. That just leaves me.
The good news is that the tenant has brought in her agreement and the solicitor has accepted it, so we can go ahead with the eviction. What a crazy world!0
