Decluttering 2012, this year, definitely ...

Everyone has been so productive. We're a tough lot battling nasty fluey things too.
I set the timer on my phone to do 15 minutes each in 2 rooms. Involved going through a lot of family bits and so was quite upsetting. But I got thro it.
This saw go:
1 a big bag of papers to shred, done
2 some more bits for the charity bag, about 2 carrier bags now
3 some rubbish and recycling bags about a third filled
Didn't count the items as it was a quick burst. Was particularly wary of creating mess as a result of this so made a real effort to tidy everything as I went. Otherwise that can leave you feeling a bit dispirited when trying to clear mess you create mess.Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Morning!!
The big bag of megabloks (100 bricks i reckon) was collected on time this morning, FB sale, so bagged £5 in the process of decluttering :j This will fund the coffee and cake im having out with my best friend this afternoon. Barely see each other as she lives over an hour away and is a teacher so always busy! And im always tied up with the kids so cant always pop down whenever, it takes planning!! Thank god for school holidays, really looking forward to the catch up! Though whilst we are out i am planning on buying 4 more pairs of thermal socks for the husband and a hat for myself. Though i am dropping my CS stuff off en route too, balances out i think

Back to getting rid of a few more books (10 to cs and 5 to recycling), then on to general - a measuring separator strainer still boxed and unused, and an unopened pack of plastic beakers, both to cs. One of the boxes used for gathering up stray things during the night is now a store for cleaning things under the kitchen sink. I have got plastic boxes on most kitchen shelves and cupboards because I find them so much easier to contain things and keep clean.0

Morning all
It seems ebay has been kind to most, myself includedHere's my outage for the last few days.
PC keyboard to freecycler
Flatscreen PC monitor to freecycler
Indoor TV aerial going to freecycler in about half an hour as collecting from near my workplace
Sold on Ebay and being posted off at lunchtime:
Chocolate fountain (collected last night)
3 exercise tops
1 pair of combat trousers
1 T-shirt from Pineapple
Benefit face powder
Superdry hoodie
Boots No 7 pedicure set didn't sell but had an email from someone asking if I would relist as she was interested
So the ebay box is marginally smaller. Just awaiting the next free listing weekend. Might give facebook another go in the meantime as well as Gumtree.0 -
Well, I've managed to amass 3 boxes of stuff for charity/car boot. Need to make room for them in the garage as have friend round later and they're currently in the lounge!
Also did trip to tip and got rid of the old yellowed blinds that I kept 'just in case' but wouldn't want seen dead in my house (if you know what I mean)!
My replacement shredder came yesterday and I'm also busy shredding 2 years' worth of papers, with a break every now and then when it over heats!0 -
