Evening. Well im pleased to say ive been productive this evening!!
cleared all the surfaces in my bedroom, incl the floor. Got a carrier of stuff for the bin, filled my normal bin, put a load of washing away and moved DDs things back into her room and DS' back into his (these things will be going away in their rooms tomorrow as they were asleep when i crept in), Got a big carrier of stuff for downstairs (again will sort tomorrow) which is now sat in lounge. Took 4 loads of washing down and so far have got 2 washed/dried. I wrapped all the remaining Xmas presents (about 8) and used up 3 rolls of wrapping paper
Out :
Carrier bag of rubbish
3 rolls of gift wrap used up
Empty bleach container to recycling

Loads and loads of boxes came today, probably more tomorrow. The place is going to look like a bomb's hit it come Tuesday night! Not a good look if we have any requests for viewing the house next week, but I'm sure they'll understand! At least it will show how much 'stuff' the house can hold!
loopychriss, that is amazing! You have created so much space - either by getting rid of stuff or organising it - the equivalent of a household! What a result, and when they take everything back there will be all that space to show off to viewers.
I'm another one who loves notebooks, though they don't have to be too beautiful. I've stored them in a specific space and am looking forward to starting one when I've finished working through my pile of half-used notepads - which is going down well. I've gradually been getting rid of bits and pieces and adding the numbers into my sig. When I'm back from church I'm going through my puzzle books and any completely unused will go to cs. The cold yesterday meant that I started to declutter the stockpile of old buddleia wood for my fire - I should really order more logs but I do have all kinds of offcuts etc that I ignore when I have beautiful logs, so the order will wait another week. I put my heating on for the first time yesterday and the house feels better for it - but at least down south we didn't have s**w!0 -

Many many many moons ago (about 40 years) my mother made a lovely wool rug which is still with me - one where you tuft the wool strands and pull them through a sort of matting. I really have to either keep it and have it cleaned or chuck.
I inherited one of those, half finished. It was going to be a winter project but now I'm wondering whether it's worth spending the time on. I don't want to clutter up someone else's life if I send it to cs, but at least that's their choice. I would say I'd keep it for stuffing but I don't have any plans that way. Mmm - food for thought. It would free up a storage box and part of a shelf.
Later: well that's the rug in the cs pile, but it came from a box that is full of wools, tapestries and, much more interesting to me, a crotcheted blanket that's over half done. I can look forward to finishing that off.0 -

Sarah, you are doing so well. With all this stuff away this month, you can look forward to acquiring one or two more things in November
Good luck with the ebay results today.0 -
It's lovely to read how everyone is doing on this thread. I mean how many of us could temporarily bring in a family - well done loopychriss! That's a real testament to your decluttering.
Re notebooks - I use a Cath Kidston one as a project list for stuff to do in the house, buy that awkward shaped bulb or order x or y.
The kitchen is my nemisis. I've stocked up with lots of food as part of winter prep and everything and its bursting at the seams. When the house was built two cupboards were missing from every house (they were nicked before installation I reckon) so with just 2 single wall cupboards it's hard going.
I may consolidate the man drawer down to one drawer - that means I could (possibly) store spices in one of the drawers. And then some tinned bits could go into that bit of the cupboard. Sometimes finding storage space is like a game of chess!!
Keep decluttering, even if just for 5 mins, do it. You'll feel better :ADeclutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

The kitchen is always the hardest i find, mineallmine! We are swamped with tupperware (which is handy for batch cooking!), cutlery, bottles/beakers/kids stuff!! Not to mention all the food stuff.
Well DD wet her bed this morning, so thats added an extra load of washing to my day. Doesnt often happen so hopefully ill still get through the massive pile of washing!!
I slept terribly last night, a mixture of my pregnancy aches and pains, insomnia and changing a bed in the middle of the night. Then to top it off i awoke with a banging headache, which is still hanging aroundStill hoping to get some bits organised today though.

Morning all
hands up all those who forgot to change their clocks??
Have plans for tomorrow so watch this space....Have dealt with all the rubbish this morning and sorted kittys litter box out with a new bag, she comes straight in and goes digging immediately! Bless her little heart.
Like others, I love stationary too but never want to use the pretty thingshad to be VERY strict. Instead of buying pretty notebooks, I saved a HUGE amount of money by buying 100 school exercise books on eBay. Paid in the region of £2.50 and they are going down well. I use one every two or three weeks. The coloured covers go in the coloured papers file for die cutting, and the used paper goes in the shredder.
!
I keep a big A4 hard covered book for future craft projects. I print off the pics and instructions and paste them in, then I add notes as I do them. Works well for me.
Well done all for keeping the momentum going, we all know how tough it can be but being here makes it all a bit nicer doesn't it? I know I am really grateful to other groupies who keep me motivated - especially when the "dark mood" pays a visit. Thank you all.

HI ALL X
Another productive couple of days, We ripped out the old gas fire and fireplace!! ripped up half the carpet so far lol have to move the dining room table etc again to get to the other half
So I have 'decluttered' 3 bags of rubble half a carpet to the tip - but that also meant I took the bag of shoes a book and a bag of baby clothes to the charity banks at the tip, I also got rid of the breville sandwich maker 3 saucepans that were losing their non stick and a glass jar.
Also chucked an old biscuit tin.
I think that's about it at the minute.
