Great Idea PudseyDB about photographing bits and bobs. It so often what the thing rminds us of rather than the thing itself.
12. Carrier bag of general rubbish
13. Carrier bag of cardboard/paper to recycling
14. Wine rack - bought in Habitat with one of my first pay cheques, metal, really rather stylish but metal has pitted (can't think of a better word) it's been to two car boots and no one has even looked at it. I no longer drink. It's sat on the tyhe top of the kitchen cupboards for the last 2 years, saying 'Look i'm still here, big cumbersome thing that I am. What you gonna do about me?' He went to the dump today, looked very cross as I tossed him in with the scrap metal, obviously WAY below his station. BUT GONE. Hurrah!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Ditch 100 in January challenge: 9/100
A very modest start for me.
1. Carrier bag of rubbish
2 & 3. Two pairs of black boots which are beyond salvaging
4. Old bleached top to rag bag
5. Pair of slippers with the stuffing coming out to rubbish
6. Various items of underwear to rag bag
7. Box from new iron (old one got dropped) to recycling
8. Box from recent Lakeland delivery (which led to an influx of new items!) to recycling
9. Bag / small rucksack thing to car boot / charity box
Also, have got some more under bed storage boxes and have started putting all presents and related items in one of those as my pressie TV unit is over-flowing
That also meant a trip into town where I accumulated yet more items from the sales and charity shops so if I count them against my "ditch" total I would probably be in negative figures :rotfl:
Finally, have sorted all my summer shoes to go in new under bed storage thingie so all my every day shoes fit in the shoe rack - woo hoo!
Now just need to list some stuff on ebay tomorrow and hopefully I can clear some more0 -
Ditch 100 in January 23/100
19. Broken futon base - was going to the tip as we had a hire car and thought we should make full use of the day, but as we were loading next door asked for it, so we let him take it
20. Two parts of the original shower quad that were here when we move in - to the recycling centre
21. Scrap plastic pipe from where we replaced the plumbing - recycling centre
22. Old timber from the "garden" - well, you can't go to the tip with half a car load
23. Old mat wet that was in the garden is now in the green bin
I am so glad some of the big bits have gone; it makes a world of difference. It's quite hard to ditch stuff when you don't normally have a car (we are part of a car pool scheme, so we only hire for a few hours at a time if we need to do something - in this case it was collecting a new toilet from Argos).
More stuff to list on ebay, but it's not gone so I won't be counting it until I have the proof of postage in my hand!:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0 -

An odd slipper of little mans chucked (no idea where he has put the other one.
Cleaned out the cleaning cupboard and used up the last dribble of a few things bleach, toilet cleaner etc so those went out for recycling.

2 large toys duplicate gifts from people were put out to be sold/in the gift box.Credit Card: £796 Left/£900 October 2011 :eek:Store Card: £100 October 2011

Could CS workers update us on this?
I was in a charity shop earlier where they had a sign saying donations welcome but no toys and another one was taking donations whilst I was there. I went in about 5 shops and none were not accepting so maybe it is regional.0 -
