Morning all
Some sterling work from everyone over the weekend! :T
I had a reasonably productive weekend. Friday night went into major flinging mode and filled 2 CS bags with books and some odds and ends. Freecycler finally collected the Spot the Intro game. Couple bits of clothing added to ebay box and a handbag and 2 tops listed on ebay. Also decluttered a rather large ipod dock system to my boyfriend's place. Mum's birthday presents wrapped up and posted and first coat of paint went on bedroom door :j
I have next Monday and Tuesday off so am hoping to make some serious progress then.0 -
Not much done this morning. Sold some crafty stuff ive managed to let go of that ive never used! £25 made and got rid of a few jewellery making bits and a fimo modelling clay set
That will probably be it now until later this afternoon! x

Well my morning consisted of completing the ironing of 10 shirts, pairing of some socks. Load of washing on and will dry over the clothes horse. Cleared the existing dried clothing that was on the clothes horse and started a pile for each person.
Made upstairs beds and bleached toilet ... this area is only used at the weekend when 2 eldest come home. Closed the doors and thats that done.
Have alot of ebay to package shortly. Had a super weekend making approx £70 which is a total shock as the items were not expected to sell for that much.
Paid car insurance so will file all the paperwork this afternoon.
Slowly but surely
Plans for the afternoon forby ebay...get to bank, post office and do some more work in the utility room.
Take care in the rain and wind folks. Don't go out unless you have to.0 -
I took up the dvds to sell, only one that wasn't taken,so that'll be added to the pile of books and dvds for The Scot's Kirk on Wednesday.
I have had a declutter of my bed linen this year, but still have 5 sets of duvet covers and pillow cases for me alone. Is that too much? One could go certainly,I suppose. My linen cupboard won't hold much more anyway.I've got one set for the spare bed.
I won't be around for the next two weeks,as I'm now on my two week summer holidays-I've got visitors and then am off for a wee while.Mind you,it's bucketing down here. Not that I mind really as it's a lot cooler.:)
I'm sure I'll have loads to catch up on,plus I must decide on my October target! So happy decluttering!0 -
Hi all. Got to pick my car up this afternoon-just had it's MOT.

'summer' holidays! Back in the UK it's raining, blowing, thundering - and now sunny. I suppose that means Autumn. Have a good break, a lovely time with your friends, and we'll see you back at the coal face next month.0 -
Bloomin' 'eck you have all been busy!! :T
Have sorted a few more bits of fabric to go to the free cycler who is collecting Wednesday pm, she is making morse bags too.
Have used another piece of fabric from said stash to make another nightdress, need one more and that's my summer nighties sorted, have three winter ones along with two pairs of jim-jams, just need a dressing gown but nobody seems to have what I want
Keep it up chums, you are all doing so well, even one thing out or a sorting and tidying is progress:T

Hello I'm new to this thread.
This morning I have attacked my loft! I am trying to be really ruthless, but there are several things I just do not know what to do with. Maybe you can help:
THREE old computers. One is just the tower (I already got rid of the monitor), one is an ancient laptop (doesn't have internet access as far as I know) and one is a relatively recent old laptop. What I'm thinking is:
donate tower and ancient laptop to some charity that gives computers to third world or if this isn't poss chuck it
sell recentish laptop or give to someone
Problem is that as far as I know they all still have files on. Does anyone know of any companies that will get all the info off them in a form that I can put in my new computer to check what I do and don't want, and then erase all data so that they are safe to move on?
I have freecycled speakers/clothes rail/loft boards/plasterboard and filled two enormous boxes of paperwork to be shredded so pretty pleased so far :T though the loft/my house looks more of a mess than it did when I started....!
Thanks everyone,
