  • Oh - should mention, Decluttered a massive load out of my moms loft when sorting the car boot items, she has a discovery and that was full! then on saturday I took a load of stuff from the garage, some odds of laminate/tiles/coats etc that were no good for anything! It felt good :) just need to be really ruthless with the items in my loft now! I think for the next car boot I am going to just label up the clothes rails, have one £1 rail and one 50p rail! the car boot we did last week was a challenge lol, everybody wanted to knock you down! if ou asked 50p they offered 20p!

Well done for all you have achieved so far. :T You have done well.

Hopefully that will continue for tou.

It's always the same with bootsales, everyone wants to haggle you down, I think if you offered them something free they would want a bonus!! :rotfl:

Is anyone else feeling the benefit of shredding junk and stuff straight away rather than doing a pile of it?
Yes, I've just started doing that. :)

  • Now that I'm in full decluttering mode I am thinking twice whenever I think I 'need' or are about to buy something. Have others noticed themselves doing this too?

    OH,absolutely!:j

    I have one book,definitely,to declutter.So that's 150/150-target reached!

I also have ten books by Ian Rankin, one of which I've read.I'm loathe to give them away, but don't really enjoy detective fiction any more and am not sure if I'll ever read them tbh.Someone help me to decide, please!

    Marmite,

Why don't you get rid of the books and allow yourself 2 new books that you really want to read?

It would still be a net loss of 8 things.:)

I haven't posted for ages, but I'm still decluttering :D

I found an article which really made me think, I've realised that all the altered art and miniatures projects I was planning just aren't going to happen. Its a real weight off my mind to know I can let these things go.

and so the next layer of decluttering begins .... :)
... don't throw the string away. You always need string! :D

As soon as I'd posted my question,I felt a lot calmer about it and am going to give them away.:)I'll count them now,but will only take them in next week,as it's for a book sale that's on on Wednesdays only.

    That's 160/150 :D

I already have amassed quite a number of mostly second-hand books (probably over thirty!)this year that I'm dying to read.

    Thanks Moorhen!

Yep, that's looks a lot like me! :)

Again it's the "just in case" scenario isn't it?

I am desperate for a house with a dining room where I can set my sewing machine up and use the thing. I love to sew and have a lot of things I REALLY do want to make, but I have a very modern house with nowhere to use it. Even a big built in cupboard would be great! Modern house designers are poop in my opinion. Hubby even mentioned this today, as he feels we keep moving stuff about due to there being no storage and the rooms are just not big enough for loads of furniture.

  • Not done very much today but did tidy the lounge and got some things decluttered from where they were to a more appropriate place. :) Sent the parcels off to the post office from Ebay today.

Still got loads to list but im stuggling to find the energy ATM. Got some bigger things on a FB selling page so hoping ill sell those and save me trying to ebay them or dragging them to charity.

    Must try harder tomorrow!
