  • Not much today,I'm afraid.It was a day off too,and I had a lot planned,but it's too hot.

    90 one ring to cs
91-92 two metal emery boards that no longer work (does this count since I would have put them in the bin anyway?)

I've still got quite a lot to take up to the cs.It'll have to wait until next week.

    Have a nice weekend everyone.

Just de-cluttered (bagged up) all the change we had invarious bags and boxes and there is ...
    £285

and there's me thinking " no I don't hoard anything"

Years ago I used to pay my phone & electic bill with bags of change, then all the banks got sniffy about taking coins or just stopped having counter staff actually prepared to deal with customers and it's damned hard to get bags of pennies in the paying envelope slots :rotfl: And damned if I'm going to give the supermarkets 10% by using those machines they have, so it just sort of mounted up.
Oh well off to the bank with it, but they only take 5 bags per transaction!!

The only bit of decluttering I did today was to empty (eat) the last few Maltessers.

That's funny my mate said on F*ceb**k earlier she had eaten half a box of Maltezers to boost her endorphin level. So just think of the energy you'll have

    Hi everyone,

Had a bit of a break from decluttering, but a few more things to report.

The old sofa went to the tip yesterday, and we picked the 'new' one up from Mum and Dad, so I won't count that.

    However:

    146-150: 5 cushions - cs
    151-155: 5 cushions - fabric recycling
    156: broken keyring - bin

I don't know why I have so much stuff. I don't have space for it all! I think I am naturally on the messy side but piles of stuff and full (and messy) drawers and wardrobes make me really stressed.

I don't know where to start really! :( I tend to get attached to my things.

I don't want to be a proper minimalist - I like my ornaments and candles too much plus I have 6 months worth of a couple of favourite magazines and a pile of books.

I keep cutting pages out of magazines of things that I want to do (craft stuff) or recipes I want to try or gardening information but I am not sure how to store them. Maybe a ring binder with plastic wallets.

My pile of pen pal letters stresses me out too. I want to keep them but I want them to be organised! Not sure if a concertina file would work.
