123 - 4. out-of-date tins that had fallen down back of shelf, can & contents recycled.

DS1 will be home for the weekend - lucky boy can continue the sortig out his brother was helping me with :T
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.
  • Progress today:

    89. Papers from house sale/purchase in 1988 - shredded
    90. Paperwork from OU course - shredded/recycled
    91. Manky chicken in bin (had been in freezer, when defrosted was decidedly green, so froze it again to put in black sack today)
    92. Leftovers and packaging from takeaway curry - binned
    93. Pot of cottage cheese bought about a month ago - bin (no idea why I buy this: this is about the 5th pot this year that I've bought and binned)
    94. Rusty falling apart wheelbarrow - left out for scrap metal merchants - gone within 1/2 hour of putting on roadside
    95. Pack of hairbands - put in bag for local charity.
    96. Champagne cork from some special occasion or other - so special I can't remember what it was! - bin
    97. Oversized check shopping bag with all the charity shop stuff in it

Oooh, nearly at my target. Will make a determined effort tomorrow to get to the 100.

    Also today -

Took all the charity shop stuff to charity shop
Took the old pair of glasses back to SpecSavers
Disposed of all the used batteries and printer inks (Rymans)
Took old lumpy pillow to mum to use for stuffing a scarecrow she's making
All the stuff for the local charity was picked up

So I have nothing hanging around to tempt me to take any of it back and put it away!

Did have a wander round a few charity shops while I was delivering all the above, but nothing could tempt me enough to want to buy it. I'm a reformed character! I'm loving the new minimalist feeling and not having the weight of all the clutter on my shoulders any more.

Keep up the good work everyone!

Oh Hello, can I join please. I know it's late in the year but I found you guys through marmiterulesok's signature. We moved into a new house with a baby last year and already it starts to clutter up and/or stuff hasn't even been unpacked yet  I'll have a more thorough read tomorrow and maybe post some goals.

    Tada

    Morning

Well the weather has not been too bad here so the decluttering has slowed down a bit. DS1 has made a start on his bedroom so I took a bag of recycling straight out of the house yesterday. He also has a bag of rubbish on the go.

It is very dull today, hoping to get going again. Have a productive day folks.
