  • It's great when the furniture is on its way, though I have a couple of trolley - type - things that are hard to describe, so freecycle becomes more difficult.

    1 computer desk - freecycle
    1 spatula - bin
    1 cruet set - cs
1 papyrus (not real!) - cs
  • Thanks for the welcome everyone :) no decluttering yesterday as it was my birthday and I stayed at the bf's place. I have someone interested in my Moroccan oil shampoo and conditioner I listed on gumtree a week ago but I have a feeling she might be a time waster. Also had interest from a freecycler wrt the PS1 dance mat I posted on there but again think could be a time waster as not had a reply. Bidding has begun on one of the 9 handbags on ebay and there are watchers for another 2. No interest at all in the 7 others as yet :( hopefully I'll make enough on the 3 to make up for it. One of them is a Kipling so should make a decent price!

Just a quick update (to keep me motivated) Just cleaned DS2 and 3's bedroom and have managed to find a few more things to go from the underbed drawers. The other drawers, wardrobes and shelves have all been decluttered, that's one room completely done.

DS1 is verrrryy slowly getting his room done, he'll have to get a wiggle on though as we are going to buy him a new bed this afternoon. A new bed is not going in an untidy room!

    So this morning -

    Trainers and jacket cs
    Recycling
    General rubbish

    See you later

Can I join the party? I have been lurking for awhile and you guys have inspired me to get rid of my junk.
Managed to do 100 in July and only just starting on August challenge today but am up to about 20.

Whilst sorting I have discovered that I seem to have somewhat of a pen addiction. I have just given a load to my cousin who is about to start teacher training but would like to donate some. Anybody have any guess about where I could do this? Thanks for help with this. :)

  • Hi zabl, welcome - you're well on already.

Pens/pencils - I've found a group that wants to do a quiz at a party, so I'm providing the pens and don't want them back. Otherwise perhaps local schools or play groups. Your teacher training cousin could maybe find others who need them? I also have connections with a school in North Africa so as soon as there's the chance, I'll be sending a lot of stationery there. Good luck.

Yay, one new KS bed, two bedside tables and 1 large chest of drawers in.

One old KS bed frame freegled and picked up. So exciting, I cant believe I finally have shiny new bedroom furniture. It was ordered months ago.

However, the storage tubs don't fit under the new bed as it is lower so I now have 8 tubs in the spare room. Maybe I should see it as an incentive for a major declutter!

  • Hi thriftylass and zabl welcome!

thriftylass you sound very organised, hope it goes well!

    Happy Birthday for yesterday fitnessfreak74!:bdaycake:

Still on a bit of a high from all that I did yesterday.I've been at work today,so not much to report.Tomorrow I mean to take up all the remaining decluttered items to the cs.

I've finally been through my jewellery and have found:

    82-86 five pairs earrings
    87-88 two rings
    89-one bracelet

all to the cs,expect one pair of earrings that my Mum might like.

    That's 89/100
