Hello frugalgal :hello: You've made a jolly good start!

loopychriss I hope you have a lovely holiday.

    4. bubble wrap to CS
    5. other packaging bits to CS
    6. apron to CS
    7. frail old lady very gently decluttered from the shop into a taxi - after she'd had a rest and a cup of tea :)
    8. large glass of chilled pinot grigio currently being delcluttered

OK I know the last 2 are stretching the point somewhat but my feet hurt & my back hurts and if I get up I can only walk like Mrs Overall (twoooo soooups!!) so I think it's bonnie, on the sofa, with the wine, this evening.
Decluttering proper will recommence tomorrow. Honest guv.

    Sue 14 - I could sort my OH's clutter, but don't see why I should :-)
He also 'knows' if I've disturbed this clutter - sorry I mean carefully organised piles of filing, letters, mags, tools etc.

my good work is rumbling on. My CS corner is now starting to resemble a mountain, so will have to make a run to drop things off soon. Part of me doesn't want to, because every time I see it it reminds me how well I'm doing which spurs me on to find more junk to add to the pile :D

Whilst de-cluttering the UtSoD (Under the Stairs of Doom) I found a grotty framed mirror and a once loved rare breed pig print with a grubby mount.

Took them both apart. Cleaned the mirror & cut a new mount out of a scrap of card. Got OH to screw mirror to wall. I hung up the re-mounted picture and another that was propped on the window.

    3 items re-loved and displayed.

Thanks for the warm welcome :)

Made a small start today with -

    1. 20 audio tapes - freecycle.
    2. 2 bags of old paperwork shredded and binned.

Plan to tackle the small spare bedroom tomorrow. It has lots of work related paperwork that needs sorting - organising/binning. I gave away one of the shelves from that room last week so most of the 'stuff' is on the floor atm - so need to be ruthless and get rid of it.

Not been on for a long time, but today is going to the dump day! I'm finally getting rid of all the old electrical items that have been stashed in various parts of the house. It's the final part of my decluttering journey and I'm so happy I may have to have some cake to celebrate!:j

    Good morning

Last night I was wondering what was in the bureau drawers - and found so much stationery. That is now out of that room and with the rest of the stationery. I do have occasional sort outs there but this month I'm going to have another go. I think there is a school in North Africa that can use quite a bit.
Also yesterday 3 suspension files and 1 shoe rack to cs.
This morning I was checking my bank statement as I do regularly and found more areas to declutter:
2 payments taken illegally from my account in the past 2 days (after long conversation with the bank, money is refunded and a new card on its way)
double payments being made to the council so that has been simplified, reducing monthly payments from £85 to 12!

marmiterulesok, I am so with you on the pieces of paper and card. I cleared a huge area by just checking and binning/recycling. It makes an enormous difference when they've gone :)
