Norris: What day are your bins emptied (or binbags removed) and do you get a recycling collection where you are?
Will the delivery guys take the packaging?:D‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Sorry, haven't been around and worked very late last night, so haven't managed to catch up with all the posts yet. Hope everyone is doing well.
I presume we are supposed to start the count at the beginning again?
1. Bubble wrap - was storing it for who knows what reason!!
2. Various expired tins of food in the kitchen cupboard.
3. Dead cactus plant. I have been keeping it for ages hoping it would resurrect itself but considering it's now brown and crispy, I think that's not going to happen so I finally got rid of it.0 -

This person collecting my crosstrainer seems to think they can just strap it on a car roof... I haven't mentioned enough that it is a FULL SIZED GYM one, 1.5 metres long and bloomin' massive. Although, it could be entertaining watching... Rant over!
They've now come to their senses and are bringing a van. Is stressful giving things away! lol.0 -
silentsister wrote: »marmite, I just love books! But I've inherited books from two family members, and gathered a whole library of books several years ago from someone I'd never met - as well as my own collecting. Even though I'd not read a large % of them they just felt comfortable to have around. But the number of books I have dictate the size of accommodation I need - which is not good. So for the first time I am seriously looking at them, and quickly and decisively saying I do not need this, I will not be refering to it, I've got a better book than this on xxx - then trying to be realistic about whether anyone would ever pay any money for them. If not, why pass my clutter onto the cs, and into the bin they go. I can promise you though that at the end, I'll still have more books than I actually 'need' but that's what makes it home for me. (Having a library background may have something to do with it!)
I've just seen your signature-you actually want to declutter 1000 books? You must have some collection.
I cherish my books, but recently have managed to have quite a purge. This means that now all my books are on bookselves, instead of sitting in bags on the floor because I have no space on the shelves.:)
I've got more to add.I had a quick session in my cellar space:
32 -35 four bowls to return to owner
36-38 three placemats to cs
39 one cup and saucer to cs
40-42 three plates to cs
43-44 two veg peelers to cs
45 one incense burner to cs
46-48 three cat bowls to cs
49 one box with misc. electrical stuff to return to shop
50-57 eight cups to cs
58 one glass storage jar and lid to cs
59 one tin to cs
60-61 two cooling racks to cs
62 one cardboard box recycled
63 one chopping board to cs0 -
You've been busy too! Maybe, I'm just one purge behind you
- my books will enjoy sitting comfortably on shelves.
Meanwhile this afternoon one more decluttered area and some filing. Maybe I can work on just a little more - I have a cs doorstep collection in the morning.0 -
