Decluttering 2012, this year, definitely ...

So my first attempt at decluttering went well!
1. All the soft squidgy or mouldy food in fridge - gone!
2. Big stack of daughter's scribblings - recycling
3. Small stack of plastic pots (old marg containers etc) - bin
Tomorrow it's the cardboard collection so I have a bit to put out for that.
I think I'll try and do the fly lady thing and do 15 minutes of decluttering a day - start small and build up seems to be sensibleTrying to keep in budget.

Well done declutterers :j
12. Nail varnish gone thin - in the bin
13. More packaging - in the bin
14. Old snack bars looking sad - in the bin
15. All rubbish from handbag (!) - in the bin.
That's me done for today.

Got the go ahead to move stuff into new place of work:j which means I can concentrate more on my own clutter rather than clever storage of yet more stuff:D Will be having another great clear out at weekend:jBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

I haven't even made a hole! Am estimating making around £75 (fingers crossed) as a minimum so that can go in the savings. I am very surprised as we did a HUGE eBay in April which raised £1300. Still can't find the hole where all this lot has made any space yet...Saving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

Well, I went through the food stock and binned the out of date stuff, and generally tidied up that area of the kitchen.
Also binned a big bag full of rags, along with some old mags, and general tit tat that was just lying around for some reason.
And, OH and I made a start on moving some of the things out of the way for the workmen. The old washing machine has now been disconnected, and the draining process started!
Ahhhhhh
Still more to do of course, but am glad I started! Thanks for the much needed boot up the backside peeps!February wins: Theatre tickets0 -

Will the delivery guys take the packaging?:D
On Thursdays, so tomorrow morning. Although, last week, I got up early JUST to put out the rubbish on time, and at 1pm, they still hadn't shown! Grrrr! They did show eventually, I'm just annoyed that I bothered to get up early! lol
No, no recycling collection on our street, unfortunately.
And....I don't know....February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
This morning I put out 13 bags for the doorstep collection and they've just gone. So pleased because - I've just had a phone from friends to say they are half an hour away and would see me soon. I had forgotten they were coming, I can't even remember if they are staying overnight
But at least they can walk through the house, the kitchen is almost repectable and it won't take long to make up any beds I need. Now I know why I need to keep pushing on with all this.

Good morning everyone
After a slow start, I have:
2. Another bag of shred from the filing cabinet
3. Another box of recycling from the filing cabinet
4-13. 10 books to local drama group for their book stall
Have sold three things on Ebay, but won't count them until they're paid for and posted.
