Well I've filled 5 bags with unwanted clothes that are not good enough to eb@y!:rotfl:
May take to cash for clothes when passing as I don't think they are good enough for cs either.
Will count when they actually leave the house!

Decided to watch one of the DVDs borrowed from my brother months ago. Numero uno wouldn't play despite lots of fiddling (my pooter's DVD drive is highly particular about it's diet and just flatly refuses to recognise some discs). So I found one it did like and watched that instead.:p
16. DVD -back to brother.
17. Ditto.
18. A stool - back to parents' place from whence it came.
Whoo whoo, on a roll here tonight.

Today's declutter was:
Paperwork shredded
5 books put in charity shop bag
4 sacks of cans taken to recyclers and £5 received back
Not a lot today as we were babysitting from 7.30am and were out most of the day. Got tomorrow morning on my own to have a clear run for a couple of hours....Keep Calm and Carry On Kondoing

Well,this month is starting well:
1-6 magazines to recycling
7-29 books to cs
30-33 old diaries out-recycled
34-broken plant pot out
35-bottle recycled
36-cardboard box recycled
37-thermometer to cs
Hope to do some more today.0 -
The picture of the bread rolls reminded me we had a packet at the back of the cupboard - they were ood but only by 10 days, so they have been cooked and eaten!
So far in June
1. Paperwork shredded - 1 bagfull.
2. 3 old coat hangers - binned
3. Loads of receipts - shredded
plan now to continue with clothes.
Also thought I'd pass on a tip I read recently - when you have a lot of those thin, fiddly receipts to shred, put them in an envelope then put envelope through shredder - it works.:j

Well done everyone who has made a start on their June challenge.
My spare room needs major work before I can even get to the "wardrobe of doom" -it's more like a room of doom
Sat with a bag of "paperwork" last night in front of TV resulting in
4. A bag of items shredded and put on compost heap
5. A bag of paper into the recycling
6. Important documents filed away :j
So 6/139 on the Jettison Journey
I also signed up to emails for the TV license so that's another piece of paper I won't need to keep.
Have visitors today so won't get a lot else done. Thought I would have 4 clear days because original visitors rescheduled but they've been replaced.
Although I am not counting this towards my total I was pleased that yesterday I kept my food shopping to just fresh fruit, veg and bread as I worked out that I had suitable meat/fish in the freezer for the whole weekend. It's not really decluttering as none of it is old but it's definitely in the spirit of this great thread

Hello all,
Hope you're enjoying the bank holiday weekend! We were also left a load of packaging from the new fridge freezer - I called them up once I realised I had a tardis like structure outside my house :rotfl: but they don't take it away as don't have recycling facilities. So OH cut it up and put into recycling - will count that as an out as it was so large I could have rented it out for the Olympics :rotfl:
+ packaging, new fridge freezer - recycling
+ bin with no lid - recycling
+ 5 practically empty jars from fridge with stuff we're not really using - recycling
+ some mail to ex-lodgerMortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

Pip my CS takes clothes or any fabrics which can't be sold in the shop and they go to the rag man, who pays for them so it still makes money for the charity.

Bonnie-bumpkins I though I was going to be stuck in there too LOL
I opened the doors and didnt know were to start, as I have bad legs and cant stand for long I asked the OH to pull everything out of the wardrobe and put it on the bed than I can sit on a chair and go through each piece.
There is things in there I had forgotton about, also toiletry sets I got for xmas and birthday that I havent opened. So it will take awhile but thats ok gives me something to do.
15-20 6 teeshirts -cs
21-30 10 books -cs
Plus another 10 items on ebay.
As its miserable here today I will just keep going after I have some lunch. 30 items out and it doesnt look like its been touched.
Looks like I will be here for a few weeks.

Dee you are doing really well. Those unused toiletries will save on your shopping bill for a while :money:
I did look at my wardrobes and then came back downstairs and made a coffee  I'm gearing up to it, honest, I'm just a bit feeble after two days working in the shop, I'm not used to being on my feet all day
I need to declutter a few straggly branches in the back garden as the wind was very strong here, as was the rain! It's still dull and damp so they can stay there for the moment, I'll concentrate on inside.
