I would like to join you, if you'll have me, to jettison in June
I see a few familiar names here... :hello:
My house is cluttered as I don't have a "place for everything" - I have too much everything and not enough place
You have all inspired me to get rid. I must be ruthless!
Looking forward to June!
Bonnie
Hi Bonnie
This is a lovely group and somehow listing what you've cleared helps. You soon realise you're quite normal :rotfl: and not the only one who finds a home for these little bits and bobs in case it could be of any use.

Welcome newbies , and good luck with your flinging. Those part baked rolls are hilarious! Declaring my total for May as:

Bring on jettison June (also the month my baby is due ! - but won't count that as an out :rotfl:).
Have 8 outs today to get the ball rolling:
+ vase - charity shop
+ old fridge freezer :j - being collected
+ book - charity shop
+ really strong magnetix OH was worried about from a safety point of view - charity shop
+ 3 can tops for competitions (didn't win anything off them) - recycling
+ massive box OH was keeping for packaging (too big to use) - recycling
+ paper gift bag - recycling
+ jar of pesto sauce - fluffy - think lodger may have left it when moved out a few months ago - binMortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

Morning all and thank you for the welcome! Hello bossymoo
Today I'm doing my volunteer job but will be able to declutter the following:
1. Old ironing board to CS where I'm volunteering (steamer currently out of action).
2. Selection of bubble wrap from Approv*d F**d delivery to CS for wrapping delicate stuff in the shop.
So Jettison 100 in June: 2/100
Not a bad start*If you have nothing nice to say... say nothing*"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." Martin Luther King Jr0 -
I have also made a mini start:
Bag of broken / useless big coathangers - b1n
ETA:
Sorted DD bottom drawer and bagged up some sleep suits for cs that won't fit her next winter, and a couple of grobags.Bossymoo

Bit random but does anyone know where I could donate lots of incontinence products (unused of course - haha)?
I tried gumtree but I doubt anyone would want to come collect them... could be a bit embarrassing for them, which I understand!!! I have 5 huge packs and they're too heavy to post (not worth ebaying).

I'd try listing them on Freegle - I'm sure I have seen offers of them before....
Last time I was on here was about January when I began my post-Christmas declutter. Sort of got lost during February, due to being away most of Feb and March. Since being back we've decided we want to move to the coast, so the Declutter to End all Declutters started.
Silly me didn't keep track of what was disposed of; I love reading this forum but was often too tired to list anything. However, with most of it gone, I would now like to join in Jettison 100 in June.... loads has gone already, but I'm sure I can find another 100 things we can live without.
So.... good luck everyone.... let the jettison begin!Keep Calm and Carry On Kondoing

I would definitely give Freegle/Freecycle a try or have you thought about offering them to a Nursing Home, Old Folks Home or even a Dr's surgery.Goodreads 2025 Challenge :16/75

3 old rug grip fabric - bin
I am very naughty and whenever I sweep or mop the entrance hall, I only ever go round the carpet runner, and of course vac it. But I rarely lift it, maybe just the edges. Well tonight I have been good, pulled the runner up and took it outside for a good shake, removed the sticky old rug grip and have cleaned all the skirting and floor, on hands and knees, so I can get right into the corners. I have had a new roll of nicer grip in the garage for years, and just never sorted it... So, floor is left to dry and new grip will be placed in the morning, and runner put back after a good vaccing.
The downside is, after twisting the door curtain up to drape it over the radiator out of my way, I noticed a big smudge of dried icecream on the back. DS loves his little hidey place behind the curtain and must have snuck round there with a lolly at some point...Bossymoo

Your local district nurse should be happy to take them, and pass them on to someone who can make use of them0 -

Or your local hospital - they are always grateful for any donations. I know from a friends experience that it's hard on the nurses because they can only use a certain number of pads per patient per day and quite often the ration isn't enough so they are always in need! All that is gold does not glitter
