So far this weekend, we've de-cluttered 2 cars worth for the tip. Tomorrows trip will include my old battered office desk that saw me through my college Access course, my nursing degree and two post grad uni courses. On the plus side, we now have a 3rd bedroom again.
We're due to move house at some point this summer so really need to keep on top of it all.

Oh and big bag of plastic and one of cardboard recycling due to go tomorrow as well.

eta: Also dumped an old double quilt, and grotty computer chair today as well. :)
    Illegitimi non carborundum.
  • 14 books, 1 decorative bottle, 1 chess set, 1 goblet-thing, 2 hideous dolls so far to charity shop today. takes me to 113/100 so far!

Oh, and last week I sorted out the kitchen cupboards (about 4 bin bags full) and hubby sold £20 of cds/dvds to music magpie.

Need to start on the garden shed this week.

Depends how fussy your binmen are, how much of it there is, and how far away the tip is! If it's worth the effort just to get it out from under your feet, and if you'd be going past the door anyway, I'm a big fan of the instant gratification of a bit of tip flingage! However, if it's hassle to get there, and the binmen will take it, stick it somewhere out of the way till collection day and then stick it out with all the rest.

Down here the mass clear out continues, with around £50 tonight on assorted eb*y sales - things I thought were tat went for plenty, things I thought were in with a good chance of decent interest went for around a tenner! Still, they'll be in the post on Tuesday and are now out of my loft forever!:T

    Been sorting the bedroom cupboards.

16 bag of towels and bedding, cs
17-19 bags of my late dh's clothes, to hospice sale :-(
20-21 bags of stuff that can't be donated, hokey socks etc, bin

That was tough but I feel a bit lighter for having done it. I have saved some items for the children, and hoping to have some daddy teddies made out of them.
Decided that was plenty enough for one day. MIL and FIL are going to take the bags to the hospice and gift aid them so hopefully they can get some tax back on the sale prices too. That place was marvellous.

Wow we've all been busy :A. How can this weekend be classed a holiday? I'm tired and need a large glass of chilled wine.

    Thanks everyone.

Sending a big hug to bossymoo, that was a toughy, I know.
