I'm not doing so well this month, heres a little catch up off the top of my head...
    39 - tatty door mat - bin
    40 - dead plant - plant heaven :D
    41 - Bread bin - mom
    42 - 44 - tea sugar coffee canisters - mom's work
    45 - Mug to work
46 - ANOTHER mahooosive pile of recycling from my lounge - Does paper breed? lol
47 - mini greenhouse cover that was ripped - bin (replaced with a new cover - which is ripped grrr, currently waiting to go back!)
  • Well finally went into the loft and have it totally empty :j

Too many things to mention but when it was spread over the garden I couldn't believe how much was up there. Mainly son's toys & clothes. The few bits and pieces that we are keeping have fitted in the shed.

Was going to sell the cot, stair gates and pram/pushchair but were not in good condition so they have gone to the tip. Pushchair to go tomorrow but the pram bit has already gone.

I still have 2 black bags of wool & half knitted bits to go through but that will be a nice chore.

Then just the rafters of the garage to do (hopefully tomorrow) if the weather is good and hubby is in a better mood. It's not much fun when he is not speaking

All this and we still haven't had a viewing yet.

I was offered an electric paper shredder from fr**gle - when I mentioned this to OH he pointed out that this 'yet another thing coming into the house' when of course the aim is to have a net flow out. Together with the fact we have a log burner and burn all our unwanted bank statements etc he did have a point that we really didnt need one - free or not :) Of course I would never tell him that he is right ;)

Have had a good March so far - 172 things sold at NCT nearly new sale:T:j, 2 carrier bags of items to charity shop, a little bit of paperwork recycled, pile of broken pots from garden binned, 7 things sold on ebay and posted, laminator of charity that I volunteer for gone back to the charity's office (been here for 6 months)

59 items relisted on ebay today and have another 2 dozen to list on there tomorrow. I also have a box of random stuff to return to the charity's office, which I would like to do this week (time permitting) In my garage there are 2 black bags of clothes for cashforclothes - but they're not going until Easter hols (can't definitely be here when they collect until then)

The loft is looking better :)

  • My decluttering is on hold until after I am back from holiday.

Just a warning, I listed my item wrong on eBay, I accidentally put courier in the postage bit instead of heavy item or something and it is so much hassle to fix, eBay have given me this long list of things I have to do!

Well it was a busy Saturday for me, several trips to the local tip and i havent finished yet. I'm getting closer to my minimalistic home which is good.

On the downside, my washer has packed in again and i had a right strop on me yesterday when i phoned the repair centre who deals with my extended warrenty. They cant come out for 10 days! Hubby isnt backing down.... ive got 3 years left on my extended warranty and i'm not having a new washer. I wonder if he will feel the same when he comes home next weekend and wont have any clean clothes to go back to work with.

I'm going to try getting my old photographs on my pc next, back them up on a spare hard drive and destroy the paper copies as they are getting rather battered.

Hi all. Am still stuck at 62, which I'm obviously pleased about. But the kiddies have been ill so clearly the world has stopped turning for a few days ;)

MIL coming to stay for a few days tonight, she has asthma and FIL is decorating, she wants to be away from the paint whiff.

This is good, as not only is she very efficient with the children, freeing up time for me to declutter (and work, of course!) but she also volunteers for a charity shop, and will have a root through the kids wardrobes to take anything they have grown out of. Most of which will have come from said charity shop lol. Last time she went, they asked her to sort out the baby clothes, and "paid" her with 5 pairs of toddler leggings. How convenient, DD has just had a growth spurt and none of hers reach her ankles anymore. So we got the new ones, and MIL will take back the old ones, that have plenty of wear for aNother little girl! True OS!

    ETA happy mothers day

    Away with the fairies
  • As predicted, hubby is still in a strop but on the plus side. once the grand prix had finished he went straight into the garage to start clearing.
He has taken a load more stuff to the charity shop including various games, various children's duvet sets, some more baby toys, cozy toes, some soft toys, cot bumper sets and sheets.

Outside in the garden waiting to go to the tip is the baby walker, high chair, a few broken toys, pushchair rain cover and sun umbrella, cot mattress.

And I have been quite productive. I dug out a load of baby clothes that I had knitted before I had my son but never got out - some I hadn't put buttons on so I utilised my button stash and have sewn on all the buttons and they are now bagged up waiting to go the the WRVS at the local hospital (I am hoping they will take them).

Just about to sort through my second wool stash that I found but I think I will have to get some of the small vacuum bags from Asda (only have the large ones) so I can stash it away again without hubby complaining.

So I think I have definitely hit 100 again this month. Will stay at 100 but I am sure I can find some more :D
