Back to work after half term with a bump!!! But on my one afternoon off approx 1hr and 40 mins:D, I managed

    48 - 55. 8 x Eb@y sales posted today
    56 - 63. 8 x lots of recycled packaging for above eB@y parcels.
    64. Reduced to 20p Mary Berry Cupcake bag used up.

    29. old slippers to bin
    30. old towels for bin (unless anyone else knows of a good use for them?)

I started going through the airing cupboard after work today and I'm doing that thing someone suggested pages ago, of putting bed sets together inside one of the pillowcases. It's making me so happy :rotfl: does that make me a really sad person? Oops I'd better stop reading posts and go and finish off cos it's all piled up on my bed at the moment!

Keep up the good work :)

  • Just had a mad five minutes and binned a load of random dvds (there's something on them, don't know what, don't care, they're in the bin). Two out of the four DVD shelves now look relatively tidy - three to go!

Dog kennels or animal rescue centre?

My DS asked me to look for some magazines and figurines in his room (he’s an avid collector of sci fi/film memorabilia, a lot of which he has left here as he doesn’t have room for them in his flat), I found 3 boxes of the mags and some of the figurines but still have some other boxes and drawers to go through to see if I can find any more, so I will count these when I take them over to him, hopefully later this week.

While searching in his room I found:-

53 A pair of tatty latex gloves, which I used when decorating – binned
54 2 large pieces of cardboard – recycle
55 Pack of wax crayons – CS
56 Old piece of coving – binned
    57 Old atlas – CS
    58 2 bookmarks – CS
59 Dried up pen – binned
60 Scraps of wool and bands from balls of knitting wool – binned
61 Bit of an old shower curtain – binned
62 & 63 2 large carrier bags of old mags (thought I’d got rid of all of them months ago, but found more in the bottom of his wardrobe!) – recycled

Also found an old walkman and mini disc player, which DS doesn’t want, so will try them on ebay but will count if and when they go.

  • I'm back at work this week so the de-cluttering will slow down until the weekend. It's definitely less chaotic here now and makes going to work a little easier!

    Good luck to everyone else!:)

Morning :). I have 33 items ending on thebay today. I got totally confused and went into work last night only to find that I wasn't due in! Such a wally :o. Unfortunately, I had prepared by going to bed for a few hours yesterday which meant I didn't sleep so well last night. I will go to bed again today for a few hours but am catching up on the washing.
DD has got ring worm which is creating tonnes of extra washing as everything has to be washed every day. I've got her to use a sleeping bag as it's easier than stripping and making her bed every day as I can just chuck the whole thing in in one go and then put it back on top of her bed in the evening. I'm still having to wash all of her clothing, towels and flannels every day though . Never mind, at least the washing is getting done!
Of the 33 items finishing today, 8 have bids on them. I have 4 items ending tomorrow and 3 of them have bids on them. Hopefully, everyone will pay on Wednesday and I can dispatch everything on Thursday. I will need to start wrapping and packing tomorrow as soon as I get home from DS's swimming lessons. It could be a bit of a nightmare otherwise! At least I can go to the post office on Thursday morning on my way home from work with anything that has been paid for before tomorrow evening. I don't have to go to bed all day Thursday either so I can get up earlier or stay up later and get the rest of the packing and wrapping done there and then.
I'm going to have to arrange a courier for my napkin rings so kind of hope s/he doesn't pay until Thursday so that I can book the courier on Thursday evening for collection on Friday. It will give me time to wrap and pack them securely.

Whew, it'll be nice to go to bed and not dream about how to pack certain items :).

My first auction finishes in 43 minutes. I've got more bids on items. The most exciting thing is that someone has bid on a stupid pink birdhouse I got for Christmas. Why anyone would want it is beyond me :o
