I have a bid on one of my items! It's only £2.50 but it's a start right?
Those of you who are getting down about stuff, don't! Did pretty well over the weekend
7 books to Oxfam bookshop (ones that couldn't be sold online quickly), 7 items of clothes, 1 scarf & 2 bags to BHF charity shop, bag of old foriegn coins/very low value euro coins to M&S Bureau de change for charity collection and 27 leaflets/catalogues/magazines from under the coffee table into the recycling - result!
5 more sales on ebay last night - will update when posted out and 1 from last week I hope his cheque finally clears from last week!
Oh and went into the city on Saturday, did all the reverse shopping above, had lunch out, did a food shop and the only other thing I came home with was 3 bunches of daffodils from the market which cost £1.50 - fantastic!Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000
Initial Mortgage free date - January 2058
Mortgage as of 1st February 2024 - £159,134.98
Overpayments to date - £79.62
Current Mortgage free date - January 20580 -
Yay Kaz! You can never tell how well things will sell. I've got something going for £19.99 that's only worth about a tenner. And sold a Molton Brown item for just 99p! I just make sure when I list something I have a starting price that I don;t mind bring the final price if there's only one bidder. POsted 9 items today and it totalled £20.34 P&P!!!!!
Update: Ditch 64/100
- items posted from eBay sales
- 3 small items in my gift box given to poorly god-daughter
- 2 unwanted items returned to M&S (V rude and snooty assistant - I was quite shocked.)
I've sort of lost my motivation a bit. Fed up with creating more mess by decluttering. And getting too distracted. Have nothing on all day tomorrow so hope to get some more done. I need the house to be pristine for parental visit on Monday as dad is helping me do some jobs. (Let's just hope he doesn't ask to see the garage...)0 -
Don't worry Penelope P. If you need extra help (like on the MFW thread - think there are 3 folk doing that one), shout. I'd be happy to help post running totals. Hope you're enjoying the job - even if it's demanding.0

Thank you :A I'm loving the job - out of my comfort zone, but after 7 years as a debt adviser, I'm ready for a new challenge:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -

I like posting 'ins' as well as 'outs'. Makes me try harder to get rid of more than I bring in. I don't have any ins for this week as I am avoiding buying anything until absolutely necessary. I skinted myself buying an outfit for my sister's wedding earlier this month!
Had a good burning session last night of confidential paperwork. Still another carrier bag full to get through.
I have cleaned and reorganised the pantry, looks lovely nowI did throw away a packet of dream topping dated 2009, plus I threw away a tiny amount of mango chutney left in the bottom of jar, and recycled the jar.
I saw a recipe for flapjacks on the back of the porridge oats box, so I made it to use up the slightly out of date golden syrup. I was feeling really pleased with myself until I tried to get it out of the baking tin and realised I hadn't greased it. Attacked flapjack with various utensils to try and prise it from tin, ended up with a pile of oaty crumbs.Very tasty crumbs though.

I am also trying to dispose of a crash helmet - I'm just worried about people trying to reuse it (it hasn't been involved in an accident, but I did drop it down the stairs and that is enough for me wiith things like this). I thought about asking the first aid core at work if they could use it as a teaching prop but that was the only thing I could come up with. Sometimes I keep things because I don't know how to throw them away:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0
