This challenge has been so good for me - thank you so much to those who run this thread. I need to carry on ditching so - I am setting myself - Ditch 100 in February - is that okay? It is just that I am going away quite a bit in the coming months and need a head start.

16 items listed on eBay and many more to go on. Hopefully some will sell, most are collectible retro 80s kids memorabilia as I was collecting them but it takes up too much space so only keeping some of it.0

Well I have escaped temporarily from DS2's room of doom. Tis really hard to declutter by lamplight.
Someone a while back said about the financial link to items and I have been hit with that tonight:o.
Have loads of things that he no longer plays with, the evidence is plain for all to see (thick layer of dust on a whole range of stuff):o:o, but they are all rather big items that at the time cost rather a lot of money and I have a real internal struggle to declutter them due to the financial tie.
They are not the sort of thing that can be put on ebay as are too big to post / a little bit too damaged / a little bit old - my example is a huge toy that is supposed to be the inside of the dr who tardis, it has cardboard pieces that do not fit snugly or are a bit battered due to him using it in the past so wouldn't be happy to list on ebay. So it is sat on the landing:rotfl:.:j DEBT FREE FROM 01/01/11 :j

Ive been going through hubbies work clothes. No man of mine is going to work looking like a scruff.
2 Pair of jeans (seen better days).
5 T shirts (with holes in).
1 fleece (broken zip and shabby).
Might need to replace the T Shirts at some point but he's got plenty of everything else. When he comes back next week and i do his washing i'll go through what he has taken with him.
:rotfl: So need to do this with my OH. Some of his boxer shorts...my god... so stretched I don't know how they stay up! He is good just won't let me chuck shirts he doesn't wear which he had when we got together over 11 years ago.How long til pay day?

I need to join this thread too. My O.H hates mess and I am really disorganised at home. I have little piles of paperwork everywhere. I hate throwing it away, so I just hide it for a while. I have made a start tho, I burnt a pile of old letters last week and recycled loads of paper. Unfortunately tho, I have just decided to sell my old books, which has meant me gathering them all together to sort through. The ones that I have not been offered any money for are now in a pile on my bedroom for.
I recycled 3 bin bags of old clothes last week.
I sent unwanted gifts to school for fundraiser.
I have told the kids that we have got to sort thru the toys so we can get them off to the NCT sale. We will also be putting some stuff on ebay.
I will be putting some other stuff out for scrap and putting some on freecycle.
I have got so much to do but I am determined to get it all under control🎄PAYDBXMAS21 #11 £11,300/£11300

I'm getting on with my 100 items and will have to step it up a bit as January is fading fast.
I must stop buying Supermarket"bags for life" as I think they're beginning to breed." The greatest wealth is to live content with little."

DD phoned to say she was on her way her to drop off some bags!
I panicked big time! Found out it is just - a bag - skirt I said I would try to fix the zip. Second bag is packaging - she collects the pretty ribbons/tissue paper from Christmas presents etc - I craft - so she gives them to me when there is a bag full. Must sort this bag out tomorrow and put it away!Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
