DD phoned to say she was on her way her to drop off some bags!
I panicked big time! Found out it is just - a bag - skirt I said I would try to fix the zip. Second bag is packaging - she collects the pretty ribbons/tissue paper from Christmas presents etc - I craft - so she gives them to me when there is a bag full. Must sort this bag out tomorrow and put it away! :(

Back again had a day off yesterday.

Any how

90-92 books returned to owner.

Husband took some books in to the cs but they are his. So will not count them.

Will have another bash tomorrow. Might even go to the tip again with more junk :rotfl:

Yours

• Ditch 100 - I am up to 62 now!

61. Have 8 eBay items that have sold today which are packaged and by the front door ready to post in the AM.
62. Cleared out my jewellery today. Some rubbish chucked and a few things posted on eBay.

Going to run a bath now and use those few moments to put some laundry away, rather than fritter it away pampering a cat or texting someone!

This week I have ditched:-
an old toothbrush which I use for cleaning (I had 3, so have kept 1 for the bathroom and 1 for the kitchen) - binned
a broken hanger - binned
2 hairbands - binned
an old make up bag as the lining was falling apart - binned
2 dried up tubes of super glue - binned
29 less than perfect/duplicate photos (counting as 1) - binned

an old handbag - CS
a purse - CS
3 baby cardigans - CS
a baby brush - CS
10 hair accessories - CS
knitting pattern - CS

and some paper and cardboard packaging to recycling (paper recycling included 21 newspapers, 8 magazines and a few leaflets, but counting as 1 to give me motivation to ditch a bit more before the end of the month)

Also this week I have been doing a bit more of my crocheted patchwork blanket, which I started years ago to use up oddments of wool. I haven't done any crocheting for a few years, and the blanket and wool have been taking up room in the cupboard of doom, so now the wool is becoming part of the blanket, and when it is finished it will be a useful item rather than clutter!

So today I took the big pile of papers off the side and started to sort. About 5 sheets down was a letter from the CSA. I gave them a ring to ask how everything was going....huge arrears, no payment for over 3 years etc etc.

Apparently I was paid In Dec....

Found bank statement for that account (never used) unopened about an inch down the pile and there it was. :T

One very very happy bunny.:j

If it wasn't for this thread who knows when i would of found out.

That's absolutely brilliant news, you must be over the moon :T

Obviously decluttering brings good fortune with it too (I'm hoping :o)
96 items decluttered so far in 2013 :)
• Great news 365 days!

I got rid of last years 3 diaries and passed on an extra one I have for this year. I am being really slack on the decluttering at the moment, I am almost there but there is barely anything getting done each day argh!

I think I'm up to 87 now.

I read this thread every day and it has motivated me in the great declutter of my house.
So 'Thank You' all :)
Pay as much as you can in 2011- £3688.54/£6000
Pay as much as you can in 2012 - £3190.96/£6000

Paid so far - £7398.62
• I have the best ever reason for my decluttering now - we've just paid the holding deposit on a different house! It's slightly smaller than what we currently have, plus some appliances will be left, so there will have to be some hard decisions made - for example, do I really NEED 3 freezers? And can I replace some of my books on the Kindle? Huge amounts will have to fly out the door - but it'll be worth it for the peace of mind that comes with a landlord resident in the UK!

67. More haribo taken in to feed the undergraduates
68. posted some buttons sold on ebay  (only 70, so a tiny tiny drop in the button ocean, but if I could sell the others for the same cost, I reckon I could pay the mortgage off in buttons :o) Then I could buy more buttons... :rotfl::rotfl:
69. German linguaphone course posted - needed to send by courier as it weighs about the same as a cast iron penguin.
70. Book of german verb tables - put in with the language course
71. Two german textbooks - put in with the language course. These weren't in the listing, so I hope the guy doesn't mind recieving them as an extra - I just thought they would be useful; and they aren't much use to me anymore; mainly because all of the exercises start with "how to find your suitcase at Frankfurt airport" which isn't a realistic converstation topic for me whenever we go to Germany - "oh, I didn't realise they made cookies out of dyson fluff" would be closer.

Some bits to list on ebay this weekend, but I have a collections paper to finish marking, a presentation to write (about mushrooms, oh joy my life) and I need to finish my tax return, so I'm not sure how I'm going to fit anything in this weekend other than work.

Huge bag of bric-a-brac sorted out to ditch but I don't know how. Might try the daily free ads, having left the freecycle group after last time. Fabric scraps are definately on my to-do list today. Parents coming tomorrow - they raise a lot for charity, so are always after raffle prizes - so I have a bag of stuff sorted out to give to them; mainly toiletries. I feel bad giving away christmas presents, but they are so not me and if they can do some good then I'd feel better.

Went to IKEA yesterday for the kitchen quote; wasn't as bad I was expecting (even with the worktops OH wanted). It's a much nicer place on a friday afternoon when it is empty rather than the creche on the outskirts of hell it becomes at the weekend. They are going to amend the quote when the measuring guy has been on wednesday so we can still take advantage of the appliance offer (we have no appliances other than a washing machine and a borrowed fridge atm so getting two appliances thrown in was a godsend) They will also give us a lot back in IKEA giftcards - which is brilliant as we need units for the upstairs bedroom and some flooring - failing that I can blow the whole lot on fabric and ice cube trays :) I know how to live!:rotfl::rotfl:

Going to collect new fish today now the tank has finished equilibrating - I would like some that eat dust, but I'm not sure if that is realistic :o

365days - that's brilliant news!

have a good and clutter free day all :) cel x
