    Hi everyone!
I've been following this thread for a while and am loving it!
I've not posted on it before as I've just been enjoying reading all your posts! I've slowly been decluttering. I've actually cleared out my dining room sideboard and I can open the drawers or doors without stuff falling out now! I just did the school run and on the way home drove to the local recycling centre with an old drawer that had broken and an old shelf that was sitting in my front garden that I took off the wall last week to make more room for my freezer in the hallway! It's so nice to have more room in the hallway and now a clutter-free front garden!
Have any of you read "Miss Minimalist: Inspiration to Downsize, Declutter ans Simplify"? It's 77p on Amazon for the Kindle at the moment and I downloaded it last night. I can't stop reading it, it's so inspiring!!
Here's the link if anyone else is interested in it:

So I'll try and post a bit more as I get rid of more stuff. Freecycle is my lifesaver at the moment, as well as the charity shops! I just chuck things in a bag and don't look in it again or I'd be tempted not to take it to the charity shop! (Although I did have to make a return trip to see if I could get back my daughter's favourite dress-up outfit that she'd changed her mind about giving... but that's another story!!)
I'm so sorry if you were enjoying this thread and mine is the last post!!

I seem to have a nasty habit of killing threads!
    :p

Out goes a pair of boots i cant walk in. Just walked a mile and back to take the dog to the vets and my boots all but crippled me. I dont understand, ive always been comfortable in them but it seems my feet seem to be shrinking! From a comfortable size 5 i went down to a 4 and a half and i swear a 4 and a half is a tad too big. (wish my @rse would shrink like that).

I am down to one pair of shoes and a pair of 'pulling' boots (just dont ask me to walk in them).

Red lipstick binned too. Red my backside, it looks like pink on me!

DS is currently sitting with the contents of the wii games cupboard spread across the floor in front of his knees. He's sorted the wires and folded them up again which is good. He's now sorting the games. I've asked him to put aside any which are saleable.
Very glad that it's free listing weekend. Guess what I'm going to be doing this weekend? I shall just go and pop all of the stuff in the washing machine now. Lots of it was clothing got from SiL and it's in a terrible state really. It's all been folded for so long and so squashed up that it's going to need washing drying and quite possibly ironing to try and get the creases out. She has masses of clothes and BiL gets really cross about the volume. She just can't stop buying either. MiL is the same. They both think that I'm weird because I don't have tonnes of stuff and that I'm always trying to delutter but I just can't bear to live in a house which is suffocating me with being so full.
Half of us probably wouldn't need to keep moving if we didn't buy so much crap in the first place. *and breathe!*
Righty ho, best get on and start taking photographs of bits and bobs ready for listing.
I'm also going to try and type up the description in a word document so that I can just cut and paste it. That should save some precious weekend time eh?

  • eBay made me a business seller a few years ago, for some strange reason, so I can't benefit from free listing. Not impressed.
Anyway, I've cleared out some old underwear and sorted my bedroom chest of drawers and sorted out my hair accessories, so that takes me to 60 items ditched. Yay! Plan to do some more later.

  • Sorted and put out a big overflowing bag of recycling from my kitchen that I have let mount up. Next to tackle the mount of paperwork on the table to see what I can get rid of and deal with (hopefully I'll find a letter from school I have misplaced).

Thrown an old stereo out tonight that was old and didnt work. Going to get rid of old unwanted TV as well but wondering do i have to go to the tip or would scrap iron man take it. I know its not scrap iron but do they take anything?

red devil: If you can bear to leave it in your front garden for a night or two it'll probably disappear - my Mum's disgusting gas stove did, I was planning to take it to the tip but someone got there before me! I know scrap metal's expensive these days but ... :rotfl:

    Good luck with the decluttering.

I just have a cheap body spray to declare, decluttered from my bedroom into the bathroom for air freshener - does that count?

  • Today I'm gonna get listing on the Bay. The local Facebook group has exploded with drama and I can't be bothered.
