Just about to put 2 bin bags full of stuff for the CS in the car ready to drop off later :T!

Been to the Post Office and sent off a parcel to someone and have seen I've got 3 other items with bids on so looks like they'll be leaving the house at the beginning of next week.

Getting my hair cut this afternoon as it's just a mop - does that count as decluttering or am I clutching at straws here ;)!!

  • Ditch 100 in January Challenge 40/100

Delved into the depths of DD1 & DD2's bedroom and braved under their bunk bed.
In a quick 5 minutes I have pulled out the following and disposed of:

37.Bag of used tissues- the bin is right next to the bed!
    38. Pile of cardboard packaging into recycling
    39. bin liner full of 'stuff'. Broken toys, bitsof paper, just rubbish!
    40. Pile of large books, into recycling. No longer read, & have been drawn all over!

Doesn't seem like much, but I'll get there, and it'sonly taken me 5mins to do that. May venture in there again tomorrow
96 items decluttered so far in 2013 :)
  • Just tackled the cupboard under the stairs with OH
    We have binned:
Guess Who game - missing too many bits to be worth using
Plate decorating set - so old the paint had set in the tubes
2 "desks" that strap to the back of car seats - old tatty and not used
    We have rehomed:
a box of foam shapes (playgroup)
7 stretched canvasses & 3 picture frames (other school for fete)
    :j:j:j:j:j
So now I've reached the target - I'll see how I go with a new target! Starting again from 0, I'll try for another 50 by the end of the month - it'll be worth all the work not to have to move all this carp to a new home!

It has been a busy time here the last few days, busy with work unfortunately rather than de-cluttering. However I got rid of some toiletries I realised must have been there a few years without being touched, some old toys and children's books. Still too chicken to tackle the Cupboard of Doom.

3 books finally posted off to amazon - hello £25.20! Think that will be a new door curtain to try and save on heating bills!
Also including - 1 box and bits of packing 'stuff' to post them in :)

Just posted 7 ebay items and 1 amazon sale, still to find the second book I've sold; it's in here somewhere! :o

DD came home this week and so I had my late Xmas presents. I now have more stuff!

Anyway, 53/100 now in the challenge. It doesn't even look the tiniest bit better here. :o:(

    More progress,

2 lots of wool (whole balls and leftovers) collected from freecycle yesterday and another lot to take to Brownies tonight, all the little ends of balls.

2 more ebay parcels & packaging gone and the last is paying by cheque so that has been paid in now & will go out next week when it's cleared. Made £106 profit after all the fees so very excited about that - going into our fund so that if we ever move we can buy any new furniture etc we need without raiding normal savings.

So as of now list currently stands at:

1 - bottle of nail varnish used as much as I can - bin
2 - box of fancy dress bits from musical group that were in garage - gone via freecycle
3 - Christmas cards from last year into recycling (I keep them for a year then recycle all but the ones we've sent each other)
4 - unwanted Christmas sweets - into work.
    5 - Loch fyne voucher - spent
    6 - Shredding - recycling
    7 - OH's paperwork recycled/shredded - recycling
    8 - receipts shredded - recycling
    9 - 17 ebay sales
    18 - 24 - jiffy bags - sent with ebay items
    25-55 - 9 ebay sales
56-64 jiffy bags etc - sent with ebay items
    65 - Bag of wool - freecycle
    66 - Bag of wool - freecycle
    67 - Bag of wool - Brownies
    68-69 - 2 ebay sales
70-71 jiffy bags etc - sent with ebay items

Amazing how much you can accomplish in a really concentrated 20 minutes.
box of books - put away/gifted/charity bag
bag of presents - sorted to right place/person and put away
collected sundry bits of rubbish - binned
