Decluttering 2012, this year, definitely ...

Hi all,
Well my 100 in January efforts hit the skids last week when DS1 kindly passed on his bug to me. Usually I'm ill for a day or so,but this has knocked the stuffing out of me & I'm just coming up for air
So, I'm behind with my target, but had a mad hour earlier of sorting & have managed the following:
34. Nappy fasteners sold on ebay & posted
35. Strange trouser hangy thing, never been used, chucked.
36. Bin liner full of bits of rubbish & stuff-accumulated since I was ill. Kids
So,not much but it's a start. Tomorrow I'm hoping to have a good blitz before the kids are off school on friday.

Get better soon!!
Thank you!! Looking at your sig, you've already reached target! Have you set yourself a new one for the rest of the month? ie 150, or even 200?
I reckon I could do 100 a month for the next year and it still wouldn't make a huge difference96 items decluttered so far in 20130 -

Oh go on then! I'll have a new personal target of 150, but I promise not to be disappointed with myself if I dont reach it as I made the 100 I had hoped for. I think I could do 100 each month especially with the amount of rubbish mail we receive! Virgin sent us a lovely large letter sized letter today telling us that our broadband was going to be doubled, didnt tell us when and didnt tell us anything we didnt already know from the adverts! thanks for that Mr Branson!0 -
Just one to record today.

We've had something similar through too, I didnt even bother looking to see what itwas, and filed it straight away...
Good luck with your new challenge!96 items decluttered so far in 20130 -
Ditch 100 in January Challenge 53/100
51) Another book in to the charity bag.
52) I did a lot of shredding last night.
53) I found a big tupperware box full of out-of-date herbal tea bags (I was trying to be healthy, but they all tasted like dishwater).

I haven't joined this challenge, but after reading of your achievements, I am going to go search around and find ten things to dispose of before allowing myself to sit back down at the computer.£2 savers club 2012 No 1470

I'm just having a quick break. So far from our bedroom I have decluttered; a carrier bag of clothing items, a carrier of cardboard recycling, I have a basket of clothing to be listed for sale. I've put away all of the gifts for the coming year too. I've finally been able to get rid of a dress I bought a few years ago which DH ruined by putting a big greasy stain on from leaving a bag of chips on it
. I loved the dress but can't get the stain out. I now have plenty more dresses so it went
.
The 2 bags of knitting needles have gone into the yarn tub in my cupboard too. My bed is completely buried too! Just finish my coffee and continue!Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -

In the seach box on facebook just type in your town/village name and 'for sale'. E.g. for me I put 'for sale Lincoln' and it came up with a list of pages. I signed up to a few but now use just 1 which has now been split into 4 different pages - baby & toddler upto age 4, toys, clothes age 5+ and a general page for anything else. Have a bit of a search for different pages like that if you have different categories of things to sell. I've sold no end of DD2's clothes she's grown out of and kids books, toys and jigsaws through facebook. What's more it's totaly free and as long as you're happy about it you don't even need to leave the house as most people can collectHope that helps a bit!
DD1 is off school with a temp and tummy ache so we'll be stuck at home all day. No supermarket shopping, but on the upside a whole day at home to sort through stuffWe'll go through DD1's clothes later and I'll see what else I can get rid of.
Bag of 8 items being collected via facebook selling page this afternoon, and she wants to have a look at a couple of other things too!Extra savings aim for 2020 £4,000 £0/£4,000
