Today I'm gonna get listing on the Bay. The local Facebook group has exploded with drama and I can't be bothered.

Oh dear, we get loads of bickering on our local facebook group, is it the same everywhere? Seems that everyone is so desperate for a bargain,so much so that they lose their manners!!

I've managed to find myself a lovely local child/baby stuff selling group where everyone is lovely. It makes it so much easier getting rid of the kiddies stuff.

  • Well the power seems to have gone to the head of the admins, you are only allowed to bump once in 24 hours, have to state the exact price you want with ONO, have to delete old photos or they ban, only allowed to upload your photos once and bump them once every 24 hours, if any one bumps it you get told off, you have to offer it to the first person interested then the second so everyone's time is wasted, people have massive hissy fits when they get ignored etc there is a long list of things you can't list. People always want free delivery, it is meant to be for the local area but you get people 20 miles away asking if you can deliver. There are more rules than eBay!

Oh and of course these self made rules don't apply to the admins.

Ive been going through hubbies work clothes. No man of mine is going to work looking like a scruff.

2 Pair of jeans (seen better days).
5 T shirts (with holes in).
1 fleece (broken zip and shabby).

Might need to replace the T Shirts at some point but he's got plenty of everything else. When he comes back next week and i do his washing i'll go through what he has taken with him.

red devil: If you can bear to leave it in your front garden for a night or two it'll probably disappear - my Mum's disgusting gas stove did, I was planning to take it to the tip but someone got there before me! I know scrap metal's expensive these days but ... :rotfl:

Our old boiler did too - during the installation of the new one, some guys knocked and asked for it for scrap but the engineer said no - it had to be taken away by British Gas. He left it in the front garden for the contractor and it had disappeared by the following day - it wasn't the contractors as they'd left all the other installation deteritus (which was taken away later). I am planning on doing the same with the scanky cooker this weekend - risking the wrath of the neighbours. I'm not sure you get much in scrap for prehistoric findus crispy pancakes, but if someone is willing to try, then good on them.

That sounds so much like my local group, there's one admin in particular who comments on every post if it's not to his liking.
I do sometimes wonder whether he is sat at his computer all day, surely there's better things to do!

I've just had 2 large wooden cubes collected from an ebay sale. Sad to see them go as they held my vinyl, but the vinyl is ready to go soon too (sob sob)

    So, that's left a big gap :D

The only things ive seen for sale in my local Facebook groups are baby/childrens things. Oh forgive me i think i saw a computer desk once. Good job really cause i can do without added temptations.

There was a warning on one of them the other day warning people not to put their unwanted dogs up for adoption because it had been reported to the police that they were being used as bait for dog fighting groups. It really upset me that people could be so evil.

Unscheduled day off due to child headbutting the school hall yesterday, should have been the perfect time to declutter, instead we sat on the sofa for most of the day:rotfl:, but I did manage

    32. 1 HUGE bag of OH clothes which are now too big, to CS.
    33. 1 pair of old glasses to Lions box at Specsavers - but will be replaced by two new pairs coming in next week!!
    34. 1 bag of school text books borrowed from the school library in 2009 by DS1 returned to school.
    35. 3 x bags of DS2's old school work decluttered to bin, recycling and storage box under bed.

This weekend will mainly consist of decluttering DS2's bedroom and will try my hardest with ebay listings as this weekend is free listings.

Must try harder and faster as I am rapidly running out of days in January.

123 - books returned to the library

Never felt happier to see the recycle bin men this morning!! I had 2 of the big tesco bag for life things full as well because i couldnt get them in the bin!
  • Nothing has left the house today but I have been working on it, have took pics ready for eBay, listed a couple of things on freecycle, sorted out a bag of stuff for nieces and nephews and got a quote on music magpie for some cd's so hopefully this wknd I can increase my quota ;)
