Well done on finishing the MSE decorating and room re-vamp. Time to treat yourself to a (cat unfriendly) cake as a reward, I think.
    Better is good enough.

Aww, I was asleep and missed my own party!
I suspect these may be the last bottles for me to find ! I am virtually very drunk this evening ! Please join me Granny and Mrs Happy and anyone else who happens to be awake at silly o clock !

    :rotfl:

Hope you didn't have a virtual hangover this morning. Very spooky about the blue-lighty kettle. So sad mine has broken now, I want to buy another one. Hmm... Tesco have their points double-up on and it includes kettles. *NO, MUST BE MSE AND BUY DOG FOOD*

Think yourself lucky Lucielle. They've left empty bottles everywhere and someone has been sick in the corner. It could be the cat, but Pinot doesn't usually drink red, so y'know.......

If they turn up again tonight I'm sending them straight round to yours :D.

Well I have been trying to think of something the cat wouldn't eat if he thought it was a worthwhile steal, and I can't come up with anything - he is a monster. Actually I have five (yes FIVE) Tate & Lyle Golden Syrup cakes in my cupboard at the moment, because they were on a silly offer at Tesco last week :D:D. I started off with eight, but........... I do LOVE cake! I am being particularly careful not to let the cat see them.

I can just imagine you hiding under the stairs with a big of cake and a mug of tea on the dark trying to chew quietly!

LOL, no hangover cos it was really good quality wine and we paced ourselves until the early hours x

If mine broke I wouldn't be able to resist replacing it with its brother. Naughty, naughty Granny must have her blue light kettle. It's one of my few pleasures in life :rotfl: x

I see Granny delivered your little treats NewLeaf :). I've given up novels in favour of debt-free diaries nowadays!

I had a moral dilemma today. The throws on one of my tatty sofas have made such a difference that I decided to treat our other tatty sofa to some too. I had seen some lovely in-budget ones in B & M Bargains, so I called there after work. They were £19.99 each and I needed two. I took them to the checkout and put them both on the conveyor belt. The cashier picked them both up but must have only scanned one, and she said 'That's £19.99 please'. It should, of course, have been £39.98!

I realised straight away what had happened, and had about five seconds to decide whether to tell her she'd made a mistake or whether just to pay £19.99 and shuffle off. I instinctively told her and paid the full £39.98 :A. Then I spent all the journey home wishing I hadn't :o:D! So now I'm shocked and disappointed at myself for having dishonest thoughts, however fleeting. It's a real lose/lose situation - I get all the guilty feelings but no free throw :D. Ah well, they look very nice and are a bargain at £39.98!

Sometimes I want to wrap up my fellow DFD participants and protect them from the carp that gets thrown their way. At least we all know there are people out there routing for us though.

Think of all that good karma that'll come your way. :D

When my OH and I purchased our LCD tv, he was undecided whether to get the 32" or 37", which was £600 more at the time. I told him there was no way he was paying £600 for 5", no matter how much better it would [STRIKE]feel[/STRIKE] look :rotfl:

So when the box was brought from the delivery area, checked by the sales clerk, the cashier, the guard at the door and the kind member of staff who helped us carry it out and put it in our car, I stood by keeping schtum about the fact that they had actually brought out the 37" instead. This did mean, I worried about whether the guarantee would be valid and whether we would get a worried phone call from the store later, but luckily neither was needed or happened.

Its now 6+ years old and still going strong. Naughty, naughty Granny x

BTW, auto correct wants me to change the word schtum to scrot*m instead, is that because of the 5" joke. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
