- Deal with the tech problems; the ipods, tablet, podcasts and the printer. I've set this next Friday aside completely - again. I was simply too tired, having sat up to watch a documentary until 1.30 am on Thursday night after a meeting that went on much, much longer and later than I'd allowed for, needed to unwind, and because I was so appalled by what it was saying. But I did make a few more crochet facewipes while I was doing so, so good things came out of it.
- 15 minutes Flying a day, to keep on top of the crap as September turned out to be quite successful on the Flying front eventually. Nothing more to preen about, but as the steps and the bit of carpet I spot cleaned which is the first bit of the house are all still looking a lot better than they were, I'm not going to fret that much about it. And I've vacuummed the bit that really needs it a couple of times, so I've done something occasionally.
- Plan Serious Flying a week at a time using the current list of outstanding jobs. Schedule some of the biggies across a week at a time, one job a day. Had a Plan, didn't stick to it but the Room of Doom is now tidy and has had a fair bit of Flying done to it and I can now go in there without A Heart Sink.
- Read one of the outstanding newspapers a day. I've got rather a big pile of them, so the only way to do that is: *Pfft*
- No computer after 7.15 pm. Watched Bake Off on it last night which I'd been looking forward to all week so I'm letting myself off the hook for that again, and the light went off at 11.15 anyway.
- Reach 63.5 kgs by 31 October. Ive heard other people talk about 'stress eating' and this week I've discovered that's what I do. Nothing big has gone wrong but a couple of things upset me more than they should have done and I carefully undid all my chocolate security arrangements and indulged. On three days. This Good Intention has to go, and I'm going to have to just join the No Crap Days Brigade, setting a more realistic goal for that.
- Finish sorting the muddled bay in the attic. Still haven't got the right boxes.
- Sow onion sets, broad beans and spinach in pots by the end of the month. I've bought them! And the rain has stopped so I can get out on the sundeck when it's all dried out, which will take a couple of days, and deal with them Funny how the spending money bit is the bit I manage to do without any trouble at all.
Soz I haven't contributed properly this week. Apart from learning I stress eat, I've also learned that I'm not as focussed during the latter part of the traditional working week so that needs looking at quite carefully. Knowing that is helpful and it's a pattern I should have realised before.Better is good enough.0 - Deal with the tech problems; the ipods, tablet, podcasts and the printer. I hate having photos taken nowadays - the camera is so flippin' TRUTHFUL! It's weird because when I look in a mirror I feel I look quite OK for an older bird, but then when I look at photos of myself I realise that I don't. Cameras can be cruel beasts! Anyway, we'll see next week what magic a professional can work.

Sorry to hear about that meeting, but mainly YOU CROCHET FACEWIPES??? I'd never heard anything like that, but google shows me it's a real thing and I am very impressed and completely in awe - 15 minutes Flying a day, to keep on top of the crap as September turned out to be quite successful on the Flying front eventually. Excellent. Our room of doom is a spare bedroom but luckily Master H and his girlfriend are storing loads of their stuff in it too, so I can't even consider clearing it until they move out. Phew. - Read one of the outstanding newspapers a day. I've got rather a big pile of them, so the only way to do that is: *Pfft*

Ooh I haven't even started this year's Bake Off yet. Last year I didn't get round to it at all. I'm doing The Apprentice though like Dolphin.

Not that it is luck of course, it's willpower. I don't have willpower.

True, but on the other hand once you've spent that money you're committed, so you will do it.

Sleep. Last night (Friday) was OK but tonight I went to bed at 11, woke at 2 for no good reason, and I've been awake ever since. I've been doing a lot better recently - tonight's the first really bad one I've had in a while. I've just made myself a cup of Horlicks (which is my New Thing before bed each night, although I forgot last night so maybe that's why I'm awake?) and I'll try and grab another couple of hours when I've posted this.
Weight Still not returned the scales. I doubt I will take this target seriously until I get that done, so I need to prioritise it. Next week, deffo.
Ten NCD Nope! This just is not working for me. I like crap too much. It will hopefully get easier when the builders and associated stress have gone.

I think you should give yourself more credit. You always sound so busy with meetings and volunary work, and you run a business and make your own mincemeat and facewipes. I think most people would be slowing down a little bit by the end of the week.
Thanks for that, Happy. I sometimes feel I'm losing whole days because there's a serious lack of 'get up and go' around, when what I really want is to crack on and have this place looking good instead of a muddle, and then get cracking on a long list of projects I've started and had to drop for one reason or another.
Right now the dining table is covered with apples and pears that need to be made into something lovely for the winter but it's been that way for THREE WEEKS! As for the facewipes, I've been using loo paper for years to wipe the cleanser/toner off my face and my inate stingieness dictates re-usables would be a better idea; plus which I like having something to do with my hands when I'm watching TV. (Although it makes watching Spiral a bit tricky - I kept going wrong last night.) I need to make them at a rate of two a day to keep up until I have enough to keep me going until I can chuck them in the washing machine. They're small, quick and easy - usually.Sleep. - [STRIKE]Reach 63.5 kgs by 31 October[/STRIKE]. I won't make it, but I weighed myself this morning to assess the damage and it's 64.8 kgs, so a loss. Not sure what happened there. And so far, no crap today.
- Finish sorting the muddled bay in the attic. Still haven't got the right boxes.
- Sow onion sets, broad beans and spinach in pots by the end of the month. No further progress. And I'm not sure I remembered to buy the spinach seeds after all, but I've got enough broad beans and onion sets to be going on with.

Sorry to hear you've been feeling on edge. Feel free to sound off on here - anonimity is a wonderful thing. I've used this diary loads of times as writing thereapy rather than keeping stuff bottled up. And I do like the sound of a relaxation target - you thinking yoga or something?
Thanks for the offer of sounding off on here, I'll bear it in mind. Not sure on the relaxation target yet but definitely not yoga, I tried it once and it was too flipping hard and my back couldn't cope with it. I was thinking something like reading would help as my mind would be focused on the story instead of real life for a bit. I do like reading but never seem to find the time for it.0 -

I'm really sad, I'm doing The Apprentice, Bake Off & Strictly this year. No wonder I don't have time for reading! :rotfl:I think you should give yourself more credit. Update for Saturday & Sunday...
1) To have at least 15 NCDs - Nope on either day so still on 9 NCDs.
2) To meal plan at the end of the week for the following week - I have done a meal plan for the week and had the shopping delivered yesterday but it's a bit of a hectic week so things may get moved around. The ingredients are there for when I need them though.
3) Be in bed by 10.00pm and light out by 10.30pm Sunday to Thursday - It didn't matter Saturday. Sunday, I was in bed at 9.45pm but the light didn't go out until 11.30pm.
4) At least 40 minutes walking during the day 6 days a week - 60 minutes Saturday, none Sunday.
5) Deep clean the bedrooms - Not yet. Fingers crossed, this week.0
