Happy - yes well done on getting a nice new pair of scales (which is a bit of a weird thing to write because scales don't come in pairs anymore do they!:rotfl:)

Have a really good break in Wales and come back refreshed all ready for Noble November!:)

Dolphin - well done too! A nice positive list!

My October targets have been mostly good - though as I posted previously I think I've taken my eye off the ball with the calories during the working week. So must do better this week and get a better weight loss. Walking been ok and stretches - well, I could do better here!:o

SSG - Glad I'm not the only one posting while HappyNow is away indulging in cream teas and more.

I had a bad start to the day today. The car wouldn't start first thing this morning and the breakdown guys took 4 hours to come but thankfully it just needed the battery replacing so I am very relieved as there was enough in my car pot to cover the cost and it saved me the hassle of taking it to the garage.

    Update for yesterday...

    1) To have at least 15 NCDs - Nope so still on 12 NCDs.

    2) To meal plan at the end of the week for the following week - All done for the week.

    3) Be in bed by 10.00pm and light out by 10.30pm Sunday to Thursday - Bed at 9.45pm and light out at 10.30pm.

    4) At least 40 minutes walking during the day 6 days a week - 40 minutes done.

    5) Deep clean the bedrooms - Almost finished.
  • Glad you had enough in the car pot to cover the battery replacement Dolphin.

    October tasks going well too!:)

SSG - It was a relief because I had a service a couple of months ago so the pot was pretty low. I could have always got the money from one of my other pots but then I would have been playing catch up for a few months.

    Update for yesterday...

    1) To have at least 15 NCDs - Nope again so still on 12 NCDs. I have no excuse.

    2) To meal plan at the end of the week for the following week - All done for the week.

    4) At least 40 minutes walking during the day 6 days a week - 20 minutes done.

    5) Deep clean the bedrooms - Almost finished.

I'm so sorry I haven't been able to keep up this month. Suffice to say I'm totally bogged down, and that situation isn't going to improve until mid-December. I'll see you all then, if I may rejoin - pretty please.
    Better is good enough.

    Hi Honey Bear

It's so good to hear from you! Sorry to hear you are so busy. Possibly to do with the political news from yesterday? Hope you don't overdo it. Pop by occasionally and let us know how you are if you get chance.

    Take care!!

I'm back! We had a lovely few days and were SO lucky with the beautiful weather. We were in Portmeirion which, if anyone isn't familiar with it, is an artificial village made up of various buildings salvaged from all over the world, by an architect who made it his life's work. I would really recommend a visit, although it's not cheap. They do have good offers on from time to time and there's so much to see and so many lovely walks around there that I think it's quite good value for money.

The downside is I ate WAY too much (meals were included in the offer) and now I must pay the price! My Fitbit is fully charged and I'm ready for a truly Noble November, from which I will emerge all slim and elegant just in time for Christmas :rotfl:

SSG Well done with your October efforts, you have done so well. And now it's time to reveal the mystery November one! From your clue, I'm guessing it's to do with Flying?
Dolphin Well done to you too. 13 NCDs is very nearly on target, and I bet you wouldn't have managed that if you weren't counting. Sorry to hear about your car, they are shockers for unexpectedly taking your money. Mine is 15 years old now and I know it can't last forever - I keep willing another year out of it and so far it hasn't disappointed.
Honey We will miss you, but you're right to back off while other things need to be your priority. Hopefully you will find the odd minute to drop by with some dancing girls, but if not we will see you in mid-December. I wonder how the world will look by then :)

Right, onto Noble November. While we were away I was very conscious of how tight my clothes felt, and I really can't imagine they've ALL shrunk! I've got quite a tummy, and it's getting harder to suck in. I've also felt lethargic and bloated, so November has got to be all about that. So, I will be living by the Fitbit in every way.

    1) Eat healthily, and end the month at 8st 7lb Only one sweet treat daily.
    2) Six glasses of water daily
    3) Sleep Spend at least seven and a half hours in bed each night without my phone
    4) Exercise 10000 steps daily.
    5) Stop biting my nails. It's too soon to drop this one or I'll be back nibbling!

If I can do that lot I will be WELL chuffed.

Welcome back! It sounds like you have had a lovely time and made the most of the food-inclusive package, you'd be crazy not to. :) I have been to most parts of Wales and Portmeirion certainly rings a bell so perhaps we have passed through it without stopping. Looking at the map, I suspect it was when we were doing a self-guided tour of all the castles in that area. It sounds like it's worth a proper visit though.

We are in a similar boat, our car is the same age. We have talked about replacing it but we have had it since new and sometimes it's better the devil you know. The RAC guy said he wouldn't get rid of it because it's very good for it's age. I have tried to keep on top of any maintenance issues so hopefully we can get a couple more years out of it yet.
