- To have hit 63 kgs at some point on the scales over the course of the month which will require a steady downward tragectory. Haven't weighed myself yet this morning, so no idea.
- 15 minutes Flying per day. Can't remember! Probably nothing though, as it makes a huge impression when I do it because I hate it so much.
- Stretches after each dog walk. I've realised it's not the walking that's causing the pain now, it's standing up for long stretches of time. I spent several hours in the kitchen yesterday and my legs were really, really bad by the end of it; and I hadn't taken the dog anywhere. Much stretching was done, and that worked. I have this too. I have found taking a break for a quick walk in the garden or completing some leg stretches helps.
- Clear one paperwork Frog each week ([STRIKE]minutes[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]tax return[/STRIKE], stocktake freezer and food cupboards). Just one cupboard left to do. Very pleased with how the stocktaking is going. This will soon be finished.

Actually we got back late last night but it was straight in to work this morning. Not sure what I was thinking when I planned that.
We've had a lovely time and - go me - I HIT ALL MY TARGETS!! Especially the one about eating loads of crap. Oh and the wine one. Also the spending too much one. Hmm.
So from tomorrow I am right back on the wagon. I know I should start today but I'm knackered because holidays are Hard Work. We had loads of fun but we walked miles and miles around castles and beaches and gardens and lakes, plus I find it really hard to sleep in strange places, however lovely.
Anyway, I've revised my targets slightly to reflect how badly I've behaved. So, from tomorrow:- Back to 1400 calories daily, to include 5 x F & V
- Six glasses of water daily to rinse away all that fat and sugar.
- One bottle of wine per week, and the wine-week starts Fridays (ooh, that's tomorrow, it's looking better than I thought)
- At least seven hours in bed each night
- Stop pretending I've forgotten the Level 1 flying.
- No non-essential spending, and make sure Mr H knows his is being scrutinized! Based on all the above, he must lay off the bacon sangers
LBM Dec 2011. Aimed, but failed, to clear all unsecured debt by Feb 2019. Finally free of unsecured debt 21st May 21!
Debt Dec 11: Unsecured £69,579 + Mortgage £59,948 = £129,527
Debt May 21: Unsecured ZERO! ZILCH! Mortgage £22,3321 -
I kept up with all your goings-on while I was away, reading my phone under the duvet when I couldn't sleep, which was every night despite lovely comfy, quiet rooms and even though I took my own pillow (much to Mr H's embarrassment as we snuck it through hotel receptions inside a black bin liner).
Honey - is it this weekend you're going away? And is it to your chalet? I know you were thinking of selling the chalet a year or so back, but I'm not sure whether you did or not. Wherever you are, you will enjoy it all the more for having all your tasks done (or nearly done, I know you're still stocktaking).
Sorry to hear about the broken window. Apart from the dangerous mess there's all the hassle of repairing it, and keeping the rain out and the cat in etc etc. Hopefully all done now.
Elnora - Hope you have managed to get your gloss coat on so you can put a big fat tick by that target.
I'm going tomato mountaineering as well at the weekend. Then I start on the plums. Not a great plum harvest this year but enough to help with the five a day for a week or three.
SSG - All looking shiny at your end and I had a late night Northumberland peak at your diary too and I see your PPI is through. Brilliant newsLBM Dec 2011. Aimed, but failed, to clear all unsecured debt by Feb 2019. Finally free of unsecured debt 21st May 21!

Looks like you had a great time but I know what you mean about holidays being hard work. The revised targets look achievable - I'm impressed that, just by chance, the wine week starts tomorrow.

[FONT="]Flying – 15 minutes per day. Only managed about 10 minutes.
Pampering – I always remove make up / moisturise my face but this doesn’t extend to the rest of me where I’m a bit slap dash so this month I will take better care of the rest of me. Yes as I left the moisturiser out where I would fall over it as a reminder.
Complete a project – I have a number of half finished projects so I will aim to complete at least one by the end of September top coat applied. It's a chair I'm sorting out so I have the underneath to paint tomorrow - the end is in sight
Finances – update spreadsheet when required and not leave it until the end of the month. Not required.

Yes as I left the moisturiser out where I would fall over it as a reminder. You've found a strategy that works! Serious progress.

It's a chair I'm sorting out so I have the underneath to paint tomorrow - the end is in sight It's always so much more fun to start a project when we're all fired up with enthusiasm which then gets put to one side because something shinier or more urgent totters along. Finished projects, however, are the ones that give a highly satisfactory sense of achievement. That chair will give you that lovely feeling for a long, long time.
Finances – update spreadsheet when required and not leave it until the end of the month. Not required. Which means that you've racked up a fair few NSDs this month already. Double bonus.

Actually we got back late last night but it was straight in to work this morning. Not sure what I was thinking when I planned that. Senior slippage, I'd have thought. We are no longer as young as we once were, where tripping into work with a hangover on two hours sleep was the norm. Dragging one's pillow around (in a bin bag, seriously? v. unglam) would indicate one is of a certain age, too.
We've had a lovely time and - go me - I HIT ALL MY TARGETS!! Especially the one about eating loads of crap. Oh and the wine one. Also the spending too much one. Hmm. And I bet it was all worth it.

We had loads of fun but we walked miles and miles around castles and beaches and gardens and lakes, plus I find it really hard to sleep in strange places, however lovely. It's an age thing, as I've also discovered; no matter how lovely the holiday it's a relief to get back to one's own bed.

Mr Happy's penchant for bacon sangers is just one of the reasons I know I'd like this man. I'm glad he was able to indulge his pecadillo on holibobs, too.Better is good enough.0 -
- To have hit 63 kgs at some point on the scales over the course of the month which will require a steady downward tragectory. Not talking about this.
- 15 minutes Flying per day. Just as well I did a lot earlier in the week because I have been Too Busy With Other Things for this, such as dealing with broken windows. Must do some today.
- Stretches after each dog walk. Masses of stretching going on but randomly, as soon as there's a twinge. I'm so glad this was a target because knowing I was doing them but still experiencing pain means I've now identified the other cause and can do something about it.
- Clear one paperwork Frog each week ([STRIKE]minutes[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]tax return[/STRIKE], stocktake freezer and food cupboards). Just one cupboard left to do. Very pleased with how the stocktaking is going.
Just realised my squirrel habit has caught up with me - there are another two to do on top of that one, so stocktaking will have to carry on to next week.
Yes, Happy, it's this weekend a. We're going a conference and there will be veeeeery serious over-indulgence because lots of friends are going as well, and we have a lot to celebrate. (The chalet is sold. *hurrah* )Better is good enough.0 -
Phew - I’ve got to the end:D I’ve been reading your diary in instalments for a couple of weeks now Happy. You have come so far and what a roller coaster of a ride for you. Your house and garden sound lovely. I love Yorkshire and often visit for the day.. it’s about an hour and a half (ish) to York from me.
You have all done incredibly well with your targets and got me thinking about mine......:p I’m still thinking:eek: I’ve had a while off work after surgery but am returning on a phased return on Monday, it’s also my birthday at the end of the month so I’m going to continue thinking until Octoberand put some targets on my diary - don’t want to clog Happy’s up as it’s already so busy, but I’ll pop in from time to time if that’s ok. I’m thinking along the lines of Optimistic October....I can but try:)
Off to do some more thinking....January spends - £587.580 -

SERIOUS SEPTEMBER - DAYS 6-9
· 1,500 cals three days in work week, 500 cals on two and lighten up a bit at weekend! – On Monday I had the big sub-roll, plus I ended up eating a bit more in the evening than the fruit I planned on.:( But Tuesday and yesterday were 500 cal days (it's amazing how good raw carrots taste in the evening when you need something low cal to munch! I also find myself scraping out every last bit of soup from the tin like I'm never going to be fed again.:(). Wednesday was 1500 cals and went ok.
. Walking at least 30 mins per day, plus the leg exercises that Elnora has given me - Walked quite a bit on Monday on my day out - stoppped and started but covered a lot of ground. Walking to and from work has gone as usual. Stretches complete fail!:(
· . Drink six glasses of water per day – All ok here except yesterday.
· Go to bed at a sensible time during the work week – Fail here as well!
. Eating down from the freezer - I'll be using up the lambs liver in the freezer this weekend. Old-school I think with bacon and onions plus mash! Yum!:)Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
