This diary is so busy now! I have read back and would like to spend more time commenting, but we are seeding our lawn today (the grass one, not the wild flower one), which will take ages. Then I need to make sure we're all organised for our trip away, which means not only packing our own stuff but making sure I've left enough dog and cat food/treats, along with a list of jobs for the young Happys. I'm going to add 'lay stone setts, point the back of house' to Master H's list!
You all seem to be doing better than me, target-wise. For what it's worth:
Eat healthily and not excessively, with 5 x F & V Not TOO bad, and it would certainly be worse if you weren't all watching. Honey - yes our tomatoes are definitely at least one per day. The others are selected by inspecting the fruit bowl and fridge, and choosing the most bendy.
No more than one bottle of wine per week.
I'm doing surprisingly well here, although all bets are off while we're away. And I won't have a word said against Pepsi Max - it is so sweet and naughty-feeling, and reminds me of holidays to France as a child when we'd stop for a coke at roadside cafes. Yum yum!
Six glasses of water daily I believe tea, juice, pepsi max etc does count but I still feel that only water will give my innards that good washing!

Umm....
Be proactive with money Just not enough hours in the day right now, but at least I don't have time to spend any.
There's going to be up and down days with the targets. Some days you win on some and others you don't. And I agree - all bets are off when you are on hols!:DFinally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Flying – 15 minutes per day around 45 minutes to catch up with jobs missed the other day

Well done with getting the primer on! Every little helps!
Thanks for the tomato/balsamic tip! :T. Must try that one! Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

- To have hit 63 kgs at some point on the scales over the course of the month which will require a steady downward tragectory. Not talking about this one today, either - again.
- 15 minutes Flying per day. Nothing yesterday, double purgatory today required.
- Stretches after each dog walk. Still trying to create habit.
- Clear one paperwork Frog each week (minutes, [STRIKE]tax return[/STRIKE], stocktake freezer and food cupboards). One down, three to go.
Keep plodding away at it! I'm finding it hard with the stretches habit - why is that! They literally only take a few minutes each day?!!!:mad:Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

There are recipes on line but I just halve some tomatoes, throw them in a pan and slosh some balsamic vinegar over them, then fry them up
Brilliant. I might try that tonight to go with our pizza; I'm going to serve them as a warm tomato salad. Thank you.I thought I had the foot exercises sorted but now they're not a target I've given up on them - new habits are hard to create but we'll all get there with the suppost of this thread. Tomorrow is a new day to start again.
It takes a lot longer than a month to create a new habit which is what we'd all thought to be begin with as far as I remember. Some things like using my electric toothbrush I couldn't, simply couldn't make myself do for months on end though are now habits - because I'd thought about it so much. For what it's worth, I'd suggest sticking it back on the list and have another go with it.Update for yesterday - day 6

Flying – 15 minutes per day around 45 minutes to catch up with jobs missed the other day. In fairness, we're only giving ourselves a target of an hour and a quarter each week, which should be just about possible.
Pampering – I always remove make up / moisturise my face but this doesn’t extend to the rest of me where I’m a bit slap dash so this month I will take better care of the rest of me. forgotBetter luck today/tomorrow.
Complete a project – I have a number of half finished projects so I will aim to complete at least one by the end of September first coat of primer on. Success!
Finances – update spreadsheet when required and not leave it until the end of the month.yes and another 5 minute job so nice and quick
Is it possible that aiming for creating a five minute habit instead of 15 minute ones would give you a better chance of success as the spreadsheet one's worked so well?
If we were able to do all of these things easily we wouldn't need to set them as targets! You're giving it a shot, so good on you.Better is good enough.0 -

I'm going to add 'lay stone setts, point the back of house' to Master H's list! Love it - lengthening other people's lists - way to go! And of course the dogs and cat(s?) treats are more important than anything else.

No more than one bottle of wine per week.

Each to their own, I suppose. :shudder:

Umm.... Dusting can wait until you get back from holibobs. Just think, you've got that to look forward to!
Be proactive with money Just not enough hours in the day right now, but at least I don't have time to spend any.I bet you find time to be a little bit spendy when you're lying in the sun toasting yourself, even if it's just on diet pepsi! :doubleshudder:
Real life, even when it's about reseeding lawns, takes precedence over targety things. I hope it went well, and it's all growing healthily by the time you get back from your well-earned holibobs. Have a lovely time.Better is good enough.0 -

· 1,500 cals three days in work week, 500 cals on two and lighten up a bit at weekend! – slightly over on Day 2 but all ok on 500 day yesterday. I can't help but think you must be nearly chewing table legs on that number of calories! Don't you get hungry?
. Walking at least 30 mins per day, plus the leg exercises that Elnora has given me - Again all ok on the 30 min work walks - failed on Day 1 but did the leg stretches when I got in from work last night. I think doing them as soon as I get in is the key when my leg muscles are still warmed up. Must try harder with foot stretches. There's no doubt that it's easier to remember to do the stretches if we do them immediately we finish whatever exercise we're doing.
· . Drink six glasses of water per day – All ok here. Excelllent.
· Go to bed at a sensible time during the work week – failed again on Day 2 but was tired last night so was in bed by just after 9.30Pm. Well done.
. Eating down from the freezer - finished off the fishfingers and wedges in the freezer. Sorting out some scratch meals today!
Mmm fishfingers and wedges; that sounds very much like a meal I'd enjoy!Better is good enough.0 -
- To have hit 63 kgs at some point on the scales over the course of the month which will require a steady downward tragectory. Marginally more as it should be but I'm not weighing myself just in case.
- 15 minutes Flying per day. Dusting for the full 30 minutes. I hate dusting.
- Stretches after each dog walk. Still trying to create the habit, and the fact that I didn't stretch enough yesterday gave me the worst muscle pain I've ever had in my legs last night. Suitbaly chastened as a result and well-stretched today.
- Clear one paperwork Frog each week ([STRIKE]minutes[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]tax return[/STRIKE], stocktake freezer and food cupboards). So, so chuffed with myself! Without these being on the list it would have been weeks, if not months, before I'd have done those much loathed jobs. Now I'm FREE!

MY TARGETS FOR THE NEXT FOUR DAYS:
- Eat as much as I want of whatever I fancy
- Drink plenty of wine, ideally smuggled into our hotel room to keep the cost down
- Drink 6 glasses of water per day, heavily disguised in tea or Pepsi Max (
)
- Zero flying, because the hotel dust is not my problem
- Be pro-active with money. Yup, I am pro-actively spending approximately £400, so I will pro-actively ENJOY IT!

Have a fabulous time, Happy, and enjoy it all the absolute max. I intend to do something pretty similar for a long weekend next week, so please alert me to any problems you experience so I can take avoiding action.
- To have hit 63 kgs at some point on the scales over the course of the month which will require a steady downward tragectory. Marginally more as it should be but; things are settling back down again and all chocolate is under lock and key now. That didn't stop me having a full English yesterday though which I'm sure doesn't help.
- 15 minutes Flying per day. It's the weekend, so it doesn't count.
- Stretches after each dog walk. I did double stretches yesterday afternoon after a lot of extra walking and I'm pleased to say my legs feel much, much better today.
- Clear one paperwork Frog each week (minutes, tax return, stocktake freezer and food cupboards). Have got cracking on the store cupboard stocktake. It's very boring.
