Awww, I love Ina Garten, I used to watch her all the time a few years ago. I like the way she 'turns up the volume' in her recipesand her and Jeffrey are so sweet together. I have no idea how Jeffrey isn't the size of a house with all the treats she makes him. I've got a couple of her cookbooks somewhere so I might look for them even though I loathe cooking.

Elnora - Looks like you had a good day. I agree with Honey Bear, finding the paint is a step towards completing a project.
BB50 - Perhaps we could be neighbours then as I live in West Yorkshire and also have neighbours on both sides.I agree Holy Island would be lovely to visit. We went across the causeway but the boat sounds like a fun way to get there.
Honey Bear/Elnora - My oven will definitely be on my October list along with the rest of the kitchen. I've decided to ignore them for another month while the weather is still reasonably ok. Deep cleaning is for dark, wet days in this house.
HappyNow - Did you bake a cake instead of anything tomato related? If so, please send some my way.0 -
Update for yesterday...
2) To meal plan at the end of the week for the following week - All done for this week.
3) Be in bed by 10.00pm and light out by 10.30pm Sunday to Thursday - Was in bed at 10.05pm and light out at 10.40pm.
4) At least 30 minutes walking during the day - Total of 40 minutes (4 x 10 minutes).0 -
Honey Bear - glad you had a lovely day and that it contained no virtuous stuff as it was a treat day and treat days should be fun. Thanks for the link to the tomato recipe - I have a tomato glut to conquer so I will give it a go.
Dolphin - all targets met yesterday :T Excellent!
Day 4 -
Flying – yes, approximately 45 minutes to an hour.
Pampering – all done
Complete a project – I made a start but there was less paint in the tin than I thought so I couldn’t finish. I will buy more paint tomorrow.
Finances – everything reconciled.0 -
I didn't manage to get on here yesterday, but luckily (!) I'm having one of my sleepless nights so can update now.
Honey - excellent that you had a virtue-free anniversary, and totally deserved. Thanks for the tomato recipe and I will definitely try that one and report back. Probably next week though because the next few days are mad busy, and then we're away for a few days.
Dolphin - well done on yesterday's efforts, a much better show than Tuesday! Sadly (but virtuously) I did not bake a cake. It would have gone against my targets and that would never do
BB50 - thanks for your Northumberland tips which I will check into when we're there. I don't know exactly where we're staying as Mr H has taken charge (it's one of our things - he is chief holiday planner and I handle the other 49 weeks of the year!). I will report back.
Elnora - Day 4 looking good. And another tomato glut I see. This is my first year growing them and I got eight plants thinking some might fail. They've all done well and luckily we really, really like tomatoesLBM Dec 2011. Aimed, but failed, to clear all unsecured debt by Feb 2019. Finally free of unsecured debt 21st May 21!

Days 3 and 4.
- I will eat healthily and not excessively, with 5 x F & V. Hmm, I've been a bit half-assed, although I've done better than if it wasn't a target. Will try harder.
- No more than one bottle of wine per week. Tick. The bottle opened Sunday lasted three nights and that's been fine. I'm finding pepsi max is a good substitute, and has no calories.
- Six glasses of water daily. Probably not the full six. I need to start logging it on my Fitbit again
- Complete Flylady Level One as a minimum I'm liking this one. Did the bathrooms on Tuesday - to LEVEL 2 doncha know. Yesterday was supposed to be bedroom day, but I deliberately left it for today when it's not supposed to rain. I want to get the bedding washed and line dried, plus it's time to migrate to our winter duvet which might need an airing.
- Be pro-active with money. Over the last two days I have made £0.70 from surveys. Whoop! But I have also done another credit card balance transfer because a 0% offer was about to expire. Barclaycard won my business (0% for 18 months with just 1.9% fee) and now all the credit card debt is with them, half on my card and half on Mr H's.

Now that your tomatoes are all producing prolifically that's one down. Are you organised enough to know what the other four should be every day, or do you leave it to chance?

- To have hit 63 kgs at some point on the scales over the course of the month which will require a steady downward tragectory. Not talking about this one today, either.
- 15 minutes Flying per day. Dewebbed the whole house which it's needed for weeks.
- Stretches after each dog walk. Shorter, quicker stretches happening more, but still not after each walk yet.
- Clear one paperwork Frog each week (minutes, tax return, stocktake freezer and food cupboards). Still haven't started n this, but as it's not the end of the first week yet I'm not going to beat myself up about it yet.

Have been absent from school! Rushes in with homework done, i.e.:-
SERIOUS SEPTEMBER AND DAY ONE (WHICH WAS YESTERDAY)
Targets are:-
· 1,500 cals three days in work week, 500 cals on two and lighten up a bit at weekend! – My cruise next year begins in the third week of February and I've worked it out that I have got to lose 4 stone in order to ride the Icelandic pony! So I have five months and nearly three weeks! Plus Christmas and New Year to get through plus any other social events that will pop up in the meantime! Can I do it?!! I'm getting back onto the weight loss seriously tomorrow with a 500 cal day. !
Day 1: 500 calorie day - all went well. I only had one egg left so I didn't cook my wrap. Had one hard-boiled egg and an extra apple!
. Walking at least 30 mins per day, plus the leg exercises that Honey/Elnora have given me - I really do need to stretch more – I'm getting to be such an old crock before my time!
Day 1: I did my 30 minutes, but failed on the exercises - must do better!
· . Drink six glasses of water per day – I do feel better and less sluggish when I do this. No brainer.
Day 1: All ok!
· Go to bed at a sensible time during the work week – carrying on with this one – lighten up at the weekend.
Day 1: Failed with this last night. Was still reading diaries.....:o
. Eating down from the freezer - I want to use up as much as I can here - have chicken, liver, mince and fish to cook.
I've not bothered with setting myself targets with alcohol this time as I don't find it a problem just to keep drinking to when I socialise. As I've said before, I'd rather eat my calories than drink them!:D
Day 1: I'm saving the batch cooking till the weekend. Will finish off the quick cook food during the week, i.e. fish fingers, etc.
Will now catch up with the rest of everybody's posts here! Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
