Day 2 of Super September.
I will eat healthily and not excessively, with 5 x F & V. Umm. Mostly it went well. Had a visit to the local garden centre, where I accidentally tripped and fell into their cafe. Whilst there I noticed that their scones with jam and Cornish cream contained raisins, so managed to get one of my five a day. Bit of good luck there.
No more than one bottle of wine per week. Drank another third of the open bottle last night which was very nice. I will finish the bottle tonight but there'll be no more until Sunday when we go away.
Six glasses of water daily. Five I think.
Complete Flylady Level One as a minimum Did all of level one, even though yesterday included both kitchen AND dining room. I thought this was a bit harsh for a beginner and they could have gone easier on me.
Be pro-active with money. Last week I signed up to Prolific Academic survey site. I earned £10 in just a few days, so yesterday I signed up for Populus too. No surveys yet this week. Not sure yet on today's pro-active thing, but I have lots of greenhouse tomatoes ripe so maybe make something freezable with them. More likely I will spend the day on BBC Good Food looking for tomato recipes, then bake a cakeLBM Dec 2011. Aimed, but failed, to clear all unsecured debt by Feb 2019. Ha ha, as if that's going to happen!
Do you know why you slept so badly?
Yes, a nearby neighbour had people round until about 2am so the noise of people coming and going kept waking me up.
Happy Anniversary from me too Honey Bear!0 -
Now that I think I have caught up (this diary is moving so fast now), here is my update for yesterday...
1) To have at least 15 NCDs - Nope, still at zero.
2) To meal plan at the end of the week for the following week - All done for this week.
3) Be in bed by 10.00pm and light out by 10.30pm Sunday to Thursday - Was in bed by 9.40pm and light out at 10.20pm.
4) At least 30 minutes walking during the day - Total of 20 minutes (2 x 10 minutes).0 -
Happy Annivesary Honey Bear and to Mr HB too - hope you've had a lovely day.Honey_Bear wrote: »To have hit 63 kgs at some point on the scales over the course of the month which will require a steady downward tragectory. Not talking about this one today. Tomorrow is another day
15 minutes Flying per day. Cleaned the oven. I'd polish my halo but that would be more cleaning, so nah. Excellent. I'm ignoring mine but it will have to come to the top of the list soon.
Stretches after each dog walk. One out of three is enough, isn't it? Must try harder. Yes, for today
Clear one paperwork Frog each week (minutes, tax return, stocktake freezer and food cupboards). Ran out of time again, which is why it's on here. Fail. Paperwork is not my strong point.
Not the best start to the month, is it? Onwards and upwards, although today may not be much better because it's our 26th anniversary and I have other priorities.Day 2 of Super September.

The Happy household seems a little accident prone - last week the Happy dog, today you but well done on finding a good place to fall.

Now that I think I have caught up (this diary is moving so fast now), here is my update for yesterday...
1) To have at least 15 NCDs - Nope, still at zero. Are you still eating up?
2) To meal plan at the end of the week for the following week - All done for this week. I'm lazy with meal planning but deciding what to make is half the battle.
4) At least 30 minutes walking during the day - Total of 20 minutes (2 x 10 minutes). I think getting in to the routine of walking every day takes time and you made the time to go.
Happy - thanks for your post on how to quote as I have been struggling.0 -
Day 3
Flying – 15 minutes but only because I didn’t want to fail.
Pampering – yes, still a bit slap but less dash
Complete a project – no but I did find the paint I required so tomorrow could be the day I make a start.
Finances – yes and it only took 5 minutes. :T

How embarrassing it would be if we turned out to be neighbours. Well for me anyway! I've thought many times throughout this diary that even though we keep our names/addresses private, anyone who knows me in real life would recognise me straightaway.:D
So, Northumberland. Where would you recommend? We're planning on Alnwick Castle for one day, beach walks for another, but that still leaves a third day free.
I love the walk from Bamburgh to Seahouses and you can park in one village and get the bus back if you need to. My favourite beach is Beadnell and you can walk for miles on that beach. Not sure a here you are staying but we love Berwick and a walk round the town walls. Holy Island is lovely. We like to get the boat from Seahouses and it can only dock/land :rotfl:at high tide on Holy Island so the causeway is covered and the island is cut off. This makes it much quieter and peaceful with some lovely walks. We are very lucky as my in-laws have a caravan up there so we visit most years.
Just have a great time! Xx0 -
Happy Anniversary to Mr and Mrs Bear.
Honey - we've had a bit of a whip round and got you a day off all your targets. Just the one mind, we expect you back tomorrow morning.
Thank you everyone; we had a lovely day and it's just as well you let us off all targets because there wasn't a lot of virtuous stuff happening in the Bear House yesterday.Day 2 of Super September.

It sounds as though you're sickening for something in the Happy Household, what with Fitbit eating dogs and Cafe Trips.
No more than one bottle of wine per week. Drank another third of the open bottle last night which was very nice. I will finish the bottle tonight but there'll be no more until Sunday when we go away. Earned and deserved after the Total Flylady Immersion episode. (I only managed the ovenclean on Monday!)
Six glasses of water daily. Five I think. Close if you're being pedantic but as Elnora has been stated before, wine includes water, so: Tick.
Complete Flylady Level One as a minimum Did all of level one, even though yesterday included both kitchen AND dining room. I thought this was a bit harsh for a beginner and they could have gone easier on me. Gold star; if you read the Flylady posts you'll realise not many of us manage even all of Level 1 most days!

The Barefoot Contessa (American TV cook) has a fabulous recipe for a tomato glut. It works even if you leave out the spring onions and the Gruyere cheese because I never have them lying around and can't be bothered to nip down to the Co-op when I want to make it; either way, it's fabby. Any cheese would do. I suspect I put a lot more breadcrumb topping on than she intends, but that's because we often have a lot of crusts to use up. When I saw her demonstrate it on her programme, she just bunged in cherry tomatoes, didn't core them, a lot more topping and baked it for 30 - 40 minutes until the topping's crispy, but other than that it's the same!Better is good enough.0 -
Now that I think I have caught up (this diary is moving so fast now), here is my update for yesterday...
1) To have at least 15 NCDs - Nope, still at zero. But you're working on it, so that's fine at this stage of the month.
2) To meal plan at the end of the week for the following week - All done for this week. Well done.
3) Be in bed by 10.00pm and light out by 10.30pm Sunday to Thursday - Was in bed by 9.40pm and light out at 10.20pm. Another victory.
4) At least 30 minutes walking during the day - Total of 20 minutes (2 x 10 minutes). Brilliant.Day 3
Flying – 15 minutes but only because I didn’t want to fail. Which is the whole point of these commitments!Pampering – yes, still a bit slap but less dash But done, so a victory.
Complete a project – no but I did find the paint I required so tomorrow could be the day I make a start. Finding the paint was the start, so that's a tick. Sometimes it takes me over an hour just to get all the gear ready to start what is supposed to be a quick job. I should take a leaf out of your book and break it down into tiny stages and be happy I've done that much on days when it doesn't look as though I'm going to meet all of my own commitments.
Finances – yes and it only took 5 minutes. :T
Brilliant!
Having suggested that Dolphin put all of the tempting chocolate in a tin, wrap it with string and then padlock it, guess what I'm going to be doing with my old biscuit tin, piece of string too long to throw away but not long enough to be reliable, and crap mini-padlock this morning? Although it might take me an hour to gather all of that stuff together ....Better is good enough.0
