• Happy - pleased to see you back and to hear that you hit all holiday targets:D Hope all going well with the revised targets. Enjoy the tomato mountaineering and plumming this weekend!

Honey - great news on the chalet!:T Enjoy your conference and celebration with your friends. I think permission is granted all round to loosen up re the targets this weekend. It starts again on Monday................:D

Elnora - all going well - good idea about leaving out the moisturiser! I always put my Vitamin D spray next to my toothpaste so that I remember to use it in the morning!

milann - looking forward to hearing about your targets. Optimistic October sounds very positive rather than the 'Orrible October' I was thinking about.......!

• To have hit 63 kgs at some point on the scales over the course of the month which will require a steady downward tragectory. Not talking about this.
• 15 minutes Flying per day. Just as well I did a lot earlier in the week because I have been Too Busy With Other Things for this, such as dealing with broken windows. Must do some today. You've had a lot on so a few days off this target won't harm
• Stretches after each dog walk. Masses of stretching going on but randomly, as soon as there's a twinge. I'm so glad this was a target because knowing I was doing them but still experiencing pain means I've now identified the other cause and can do something about it. This target has worked well for you - hopefully you will start to see some improvement now you have identified the other cause.
• Clear one paperwork Frog each week ([STRIKE]minutes[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]tax return[/STRIKE], stocktake freezer and food cupboards). Just one cupboard left to do. Very pleased with how the stocktaking is going. :o Just realised my squirrel habit has caught up with me - there are another two to do on top of that one, so stocktaking will have to carry on to next week. Only three left which is much better than when you started.
Yes, Elnora, yesterday was an early start. Layla had a tummy upset and needed to go out at 5.15, so I just got up and got on with the day. I was wiped out last night, but I got a lot done. I hope Layla is feeling better now. I tend to while away the day if I've had a very early start so well done on making the most of it.

Yes, Happy, it's this weekend a. We're going a conference and there will be veeeeery serious over-indulgence because lots of friends are going as well, and we have a lot to celebrate. (The chalet is sold. *hurrah* )

Have a lovely weekend away - have a great time celebrating and catching up with friends.

You have all done incredibly well with your targets and got me thinking about mine......:p I’m still thinking:eek: I’ve had a while off work after surgery but am returning on a phased return on Monday, it’s also my birthday at the end of the month so I’m going to continue thinking until October :p and put some targets on my diary - don’t want to clog Happy’s up as it’s already so busy, but I’ll pop in from time to time if that’s ok. I’m thinking along the lines of Optimistic October....I can but try:)
Off to do some more thinking....
Hello Milann.

I’ve definitely found it helpful to have some targets and posting every day means I can’t just forget about them so I have to make progress. I also find the encouragement from everyone helps keep me motivated.

Enjoy your weekend before going back to work. Good luck for Monday.

• Seasidegal - well done on keeping to your calories - all the extra walking will cancel out any extra you consumed on Monday.

Now you're in the habit of walking perhaps in October you should just concentrate on the stretches - I'm sure you'll nail them then.

I used to hate liver when I was a child as my mum always over cooked it - it was like boot leather. Love it now and had some the other day.

It's always so much more fun to start a project when we're all fired up with enthusiasm which then gets put to one side because something shinier or more urgent totters along. Finished projects, however, are the ones that give a highly satisfactory sense of achievement. That chair will give you that lovely feeling for a long, long time.
This is so true and I can't wait to finish the chair and start something new as I'm bored with it now.

Serious progress all round.
Thanks, Honey Bear

Flying – 15 minutes per day - no as it's Friday!
Pampering – I always remove make up / moisturise my face but this doesn’t extend to the rest of me where I’m a bit slap dash so this month I will take better care of the rest of me. All OK.
Complete a project – I have a number of half finished projects so I will aim to complete at least one by the end of September Painted the under side of the chair but I am going to sand down the top and give it another coat.
Finances – update spreadsheet when required and not leave it until the end of the month. Not required.

• SERIOUS SEPTEMBER - DAY 10

· 1,500 cals three days in work week, 500 cals on two and lighten up a bit at weekend! – All ok here. Plus I've lost 5lb this week to bring my total loss so far over four weeks to 1 stone 2lb!:j

. Walking at least 30 mins per day, plus the leg exercises that Honey/Elnora have given me - Work walks plus exercises done!

· . Drink six glasses of water per day – All ok

· Go to bed at a sensible time during the work week – N/A as Friday night with no work today.

. Eating down from the freezer - Liver out and defrosting! I'm going to have a proper look in the freezer later on and make a list of all the contents so I can plan a bit better.

Thanks Elnora - I think you're right. I'm going to really try and get this stretching habit nailed down!

I didn't manage to get on here yesterday because Fridays are crazy-long working days, and then we had surprise visitors who stayed until after midnight. It was a fun evening, but I DID have to share my weekly wine bottle, closely followed by another one! I was sensible though and drank less than half a bottle,

Today has been equally crazy but I didn't want to go to bed without a quick post to keep up the momentum. I'll be back tomorrow with a proper update :)

EDITED TO ADD: It was payday yesterday and my overall debt (so including the mortgage) finally dropped to below £50K!!

Another quick entry before Donkey Dog and myself meet our friend for the Sunday walk. Happy Dog is excluded from these walks due to her Bad Behaviour aimed at friend's dog! Also we walk on public roads and I worry about keeping adequate control when there are cars around. They are both GSDs and have a combined weight of around 80 kg which is much more than me! Safety first and all that.

Honey - I hope you're enjoying the over-indulgences at your conference. A conference doesn't sound like that much fun, but I suppose it depends on the company you're keeping. Fingers crossed the unfamiliar bed is nice and comfy - I do hope you bagged up your own pillow to make it feel more like home :D

Milann - Thanks for dropping by. I started reading your diary yesterday and I'm up to September 2018. I will hopefully finish it today, although you have rather given away the ending by mentioning you're recovering from surgery :D. I will watch out for your Optimistic October targets, and feel free to post on here any time the fancy takes you.

Right, shoes on and I haven't even managed to read all SSG and Elnora's updates yet. Back later!
